Sabbath Delight

1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
5 And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
7 At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
8 And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
9 In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
10 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
11 In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
14 And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

We May Learn God’s Will for us Through Prayer—The Lord works in no haphazard way. Seek Him most earnestly in prayer. He will impress the mind, and will give tongue and utterance. The people of God are to be educated not to trust in human inventions and uncertain tests as a means of learning God’s will concerning them. Satan and his agencies are always ready to step into any opening to be found that will lead souls away from the pure principles of the Word of God. The people who are led and taught of God will give no place to devisings for which there is not a “Thus saith the Lord.”(Selected Messages 2:326.) {Pr 222.1}

Pray for God’s Guidance—You must educate your judgment so that it shall not be feeble and inefficient. You must pray for guidance, and commit your way unto the Lord. You must close your heart against all foolishness and sin, and open it to every heavenly influence. You must make the most of your time and opportunities, in order to develop a symmetrical character.—(Fundamentals of Christian Education, 302.) {Pr 222.2}

In every family there should be a fixed time for morning and evening worship. How appropriate it is for parents to gather their children about them before the fast is broken, to thank the heavenly Father for His protection during the night, and to ask Him for His help and guidance and watchcare during the day! How fitting, also, when evening comes, for parents and children to gather once more before Him and thank Him for the blessings of the day that is past!—(Testimonies for the Church 7:43.) {Pr 223.1; Or.266.2}

Consecrate yourself to God in the morning; make this your very first work. Let your prayer be, “Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at Thy feet. Use me today in Thy service. Abide with me, and let all my work be wrought in Thee.” This is a daily matter. Each morning consecrate yourself to God for that day. Surrender all your plans to Him, to be carried out or given up as His providence shall indicate. Thus day by day you may be giving your life into the hands of God, and thus your life will be molded more and more after the life of Christ.—(Steps to Christ, 70). {Pr 223.2; Or.266.3}

You must learn to see with your brain as well as your eyes. You must educate your judgment so that it shall not be feeble and inefficient. Prayer for God’s Guidance May Be Offered Anytime, Anywhere—There is no time or place in which it is inappropriate to offer up a petition to God. There is nothing that can prevent us from lifting up our hearts in the spirit of earnest prayer. In the crowds of the street, in the midst of a business engagement, we may send up a petition to God and plead for divine guidance, as did Nehemiah when he made his request before King Artaxerxes. A closet of communion may be found wherever we are. We should have the door of the heart open continually and our invitation going up that Jesus may come and abide as a heavenly guest in the soul.—(Steps to Christ, 99.) {Pr 223.4}

To pray as Nehemiah prayed in his hour of need is a resource at the command of the Christian under circumstances when other forms of prayer may be impossible. Toilers in the busy walks of life, crowded and almost overwhelmed with perplexity, can send up a petition to God for divine guidance. Travelers by sea and land, when threatened with some great danger, can thus commit themselves to Heaven’s protection. In times of sudden difficulty or peril the heart may send up its cry for help to One who has pledged Himself to come to the aid of His faithful, believing ones whenever they call upon Him. In every circumstance, under every condition, the soul weighed down with grief and care, or fiercely assailed by temptation, may find assurance, support, and succor in the unfailing love and power of a covenant-keeping God.—(Prophets and Kings, 631, 632.) {Pr 224.1; Or.267.2}

Angels Are Near to Help as We Pray for God’s Guidance—Like Nathanael, we need to study God’s word for ourselves, and pray for the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. He who saw Nathanael under the fig tree will see us in the secret place of prayer. Angels from the world of light are near to those who in humility seek for divine guidance.—(The Desire of Ages, 141.) {Pr 224.2}

The visible and the invisible world are in close contact. Could the veil be lifted, we would see evil angels pressing their darkness around us and working with all their power to deceive and destroy. Wicked men are surrounded, influenced, and aided by evil spirits. The man of faith and prayer has yielded his soul to divine guidance, and angels of God bring to him light and strength from heaven.—( Testimonies for the Church 5:199.) {Pr 224.3; Or.268.1}

A knowledge of the truth depends not so much upon strength of intellect as upon pureness of purpose, the simplicity of an earnest, dependent faith. To those who in humility of heart seek for divine guidance, angels of God draw near. The Holy Spirit is given to open to them the rich treasures of the truth.—(Christ’s Object Lessons, 59.) {Pr 225.1; Or.268.2}

Whatever We Need, We May Claim in Prayer—Every promise in the word of God furnishes us with subject matter for prayer, presenting the pledged word of Jehovah as our assurance. Whatever spiritual blessing we need, it is our privilege to claim through Jesus. We may tell the Lord, with the simplicity of a child, exactly what we need. We may state to Him our temporal matters, asking Him for bread and raiment as well as for the bread of life and the robe of Christ’s righteousness. Your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things, and you are invited to ask Him concerning them. It is through the name of Jesus that every favor is received. God will honor that name, and will supply your necessities from the riches of His liberality.—(Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, 133.) {Pr 225.2}

Parents to Pray for God’s Guidance—Parents, humble your hearts before God. Begin a thorough work with your children. Plead with the Lord to forgive your disregard of His Word in neglecting to train your children in the way they should go. Ask for light and guidance, for a tender conscience, and for clear discernment that you may see your mistakes and failures. God will hear such prayers from a humble and contrite heart.—(Child Guidance, 557.) {Pr 225.3}

Those Willing to Be Guided May Know God’s Will—The Lord reveals His will to those who are earnest and anxious to be guided. The reason for your inefficiency is that you have given up the idea of knowing and doing the will of God, therefore you do not know anything positively.—(Testimonies for the Church 3:466.) {Pr 225.4}

Search the Scriptures With Prayer for Divine Guidance—Those who are unwilling to accept the plain, cutting truths of the Bible are continually seeking for pleasing fables that will quiet the conscience. The less spiritual, self-denying, and humiliating the doctrines presented, the greater the favor with which they are received. These persons degrade the intellectual powers to serve their carnal desires. Too wise in their own conceit to search the Scriptures with contrition of soul and earnest prayer for divine guidance, they have no shield from delusion. Satan is ready to supply the heart’s desire, and he palms off his deceptions in the place of truth.—(The Great Controversy, 523.) {Pr 226.1}

Trust God and He Will Direct Your Way—Many are unable to make definite plans for the future. Their life is unsettled. They cannot discern the outcome of affairs, and this often fills them with anxiety and unrest. Let us remember that the life of God’s children in this world is a pilgrim life. We have not wisdom to plan our own lives. It is not for us to shape our future. “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” Hebrews 11:8. {Pr 226.2}

Christ in His life on earth made no plans for Himself. He accepted God’s plans for Him, and day by day the Father unfolded His plans. So should we depend upon God, that our lives may be the simple outworking of His will. As we commit our ways to Him, He will direct our steps. { Pr 226.3; Or.270.1 }

Too many, in planning for a brilliant future, make an utter failure. Let God plan for you. As a little child, trust to the guidance of Him who will “keep the feet of His saints.” 1 Samuel 2:9. God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as co-workers with Him.—(The Ministry of Healing, 478, 479.) {Pr 226.4; Or.270.2}

If you have given yourself to God, to do His work, you have no need to be anxious for tomorrow. He whose servant you are, knows the end from the beginning. The events of tomorrow, which are hidden from your view, are open to the eyes of Him who is omnipotent. {Pr 226.5; Or.270.3}

When we take into our hands the management of things with which we have to do, and depend upon our own wisdom for success, we are taking a burden which God has not given us, and are trying to bear it without His aid. We are taking upon ourselves the responsibility that belongs to God, and thus are really putting ourselves in His place. We may well have anxiety and anticipate danger and loss, for it is certain to befall us. But when we really believe that God loves us and means to do us good we shall cease to worry about the future. We shall trust God as a child trusts a loving parent. Then our troubles and torments will disappear, for our will is swallowed up in the will of God.—(Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, 100, 101.) {Pr 227.1; Or.270.4}

Eliezer Prayed for—and Received—God’s Guidance—Remembering the words of Abraham, that God would send His angel with him, he prayed earnestly for positive guidance. In the family of his master he was accustomed to the constant exercise of kindness and hospitality, and he now asked that an act of courtesy might indicate the maiden whom God had chosen. {Pr 227.2}

Hardly was the prayer uttered before the answer was given. Among the women who were gathered at the well, the courteous manners of one attracted his attention. As she came from the well, the stranger went to meet her, asking for some water from the pitcher upon her shoulder. The request received a kindly answer, with an offer to draw water for the camels also, a service which it was customary even for the daughters of princes to perform for their fathers’ flocks and herds. Thus the desired sign was given.—(Patriarchs and Prophets, 172.) {Pr 227.3; Or.271.2}

On September 13, 2017, I had another dream, wherein dreams I saw that my family and other people were in a house, in a house with multiple rooms. We were helping some people in need; these people had many physical health situations and also spiritual problems. So this work was being done there, it was beautiful, and it was a work of reform, and many of those who were told about the things of God accepted the Lord and it was very beautiful what was happening in that place. There were also other people there who were helping us in this work. {Daisy Escalante: 09-13-2017 , en.p1}

Then suddenly several brothers arrived, they were Adventists, I knew them in the dream. Among them I saw elders, deacons, and pastors who still officiate. And they came in and they saw what was happening there. Then they told us that we were doing a good deed, that they congratulated us. So after seeing everything we were doing and [of] being there for a few hours,suddenly they left, so we continued doing the work that we were [doing] there, but I was meditating on why they had arrived there, more so because they only saw, but they didn’t stay to help us. There was so much to do, we kept doing and we kept doing and a few long hours passed when unexpectedly someone screamed, I only heard the voice, I didn’t hear who it was and they said: “run, run.” {Daisy Escalante: 09-13-2017 , en.p2}

So I was near a window, and I looked out the window, and I saw [the] same men who had come hours before. This time they came with machetes, lighted torches, knives, sticks, they came as if they were going to attack us. So, those who were with us ran and escaped, but my family and other people who were more in the rooms helping people, and I, well, we were caught. Then they began to mistreat us with the things they had in their hands. So after they finished mistreating us and we were very battered, they put us in a room and threatened to set the building on fire with us. When we were there, because I was already very tense, my heart was beating rapidly, so at that moment, we were on the ground, we were praying and asking the Lord, my companion arrived. {Daisy Escalante: 09-13-2017 , en.p3}

So when I’m there on my knees and I see that my companion arrives, when I saw him, I was no longer afraid. Then I got up from my knees and said to the others: “Do not fear, heavenly help has arrived.” Then he reached out to the door of the room and the door opened and he led us out; We went down a hill, we also crossed a river, and then we began to climb as if we were going up a mountain. Then my companion told me: “do not stop until you see the signal and you will be safe.” But he did not tell me what the signal was. So, nothing, I have learned not to ask, but to move forward, so we began to climb and climb, and then we came to a place. It was a beautiful place, it was beautiful, there was green grass and lush trees; and there were other people, there were adults, young people, old people, children. While I was enjoying the scenery, my companion appeared and told me: “this is the place, you are already safe, do not fear, just obey the instructions and you will live.” So at that moment, I woke up. {Daisy Escalante: 09-13-2017 , en.p4}

I have always been determined to obey my God even if I do not understand, because He is asking me for things, but at this moment even more, I am even more determined to obey my great God, no matter what this may cost me , I know that in their hands there is complete security. I hope that each one of us will also make that resolution, so that it is God, only God, the King of our lives, and that we can have a complete blessing in Christ Jesus. Beloved, December 5, 2018. In dreams I saw how many women were preparing for weddings. They went into rooms and were dressing up, and each one took great care in this preparation. I observed that each of them dressed in a unique way, avoiding repeating the preparation of the others that were also preparing there. I heard them express themselves and one said: “he will choose me.” And another said: “no, you don’t, you don’t have what I have.” I also heard another say: “I am purer than you.” Yet another said, with a great laugh: “poor conceited!, I carry something that you do not have and that is what is needed to be elected.” The others looked at her and saw nothing in her that would make them see any difference between them, and that last one then exclaimed: “pretending, I’ve been pretending all this time, but now after being chosen I won’t have to pretend anymore.” In that I heard the noise of a chain, I searched with my eyes for the noise that I had heard with my ears, and I saw in the distance, behind, far behind all of them, a woman in chains; She was crying and crying out for deliverance, and she looked tired, bruised, and suffering. {Daisy Escalante: 12-05-2018 , en.p1}

Then I heard a trumpet sound, that noise was unique, and a voice like a roar throughout the firmament, and it said something that I did not understand, but that suffering woman understood. The others were pale with terror, and all this was happening before me. {Daisy Escalante: 12-05-2018 , en.p2}

Then I saw an open door in Heaven and a light was coming out of it, and I heard again the noise of all the chains. I looked away from the Heaven and turned to look at the chained woman, I saw her that she was standing and the chains had fallen before her, and she was no longer imprisoned. The wicked woman, more than all, shouted to the others: “run! let’s catch her! don’t let her escape!. But this, fixed her eyes at Heaven began to rise and passed over them, and entered through the door of heaven that was open and from which light emanated. The door closed and I didn’t see her anymore. Then I looked at the women, the ones who wanted to catch this suffering woman, and I only saw some of their clothing, because their body was lying on the ground, turned to dust. {Daisy Escalante: 12-05-2018 , en.p3}

There, beloved, I woke up, I woke up startled before such a scene, praying and crying out to God for His faithful people on the broad face of the earth. Let’s get ready brothers! The Lord is very close! He is speaking very clearly to His people, I hope, and I pray, it is my request and prayer that each of us can understand what the Lord wants to say to each one of us. Beloved, December 19, 2018. Meanwhile I prayed to the Lord for all the things that are happening around the world, and for the protection of His children on the broad face of the earth. There is no time if we really want to go to heaven to continue living lightly before God, if we do not take our salvation seriously now, tomorrow will be too late; the enemy, beloved, is playing us a trap of lethargy and delay for our lives, and we are consenting to this and this will be only our fault. We have two weapons given by God to be able to win, our price of salvation is already paid, it is only accepting it, and the decision which is the free will. {Daisy Escalante: 12-19-2018 , en.p2}

We are in events running one after the other in these moments. I was let known, these are: the judgment of the living, the Sunday law, the end of grace time for those who know the Seventh-day Adventist message, and the time of grace for the world. These events in a moment began and in a moment they will end; and if we do not keep watch, it will only be our fault if we stay out, the warning is given to us and the time is fulfilled, and the decision is ours, no one can decide for anyone to be faithful to God, no matter how much we love our loved ones, family, friends, neighbors. {Daisy Escalante: 12-19-2018 , en.p3}

Beloved, we need, we need to get right with God, there is no time to lose!, we don’t need to have all the conditions that we really think to get right with God, simply what we need is to get on our knees, recognize, recognize who we are and who He is, ask for forgiveness, turning away from what we know dishonors our God, and ask for His strength and His wisdom, His intelligence to be able to walk the path that He wants us to walk, thus doors will begin to open that nobody will be able to close. May God grant that each of us understand this, and that we can realize that if we continue to relax with our salvation today, tomorrow will be too late. I pray to God that this is not the case, I pray to God so that His people wake up and begin to realize what they should be doing in these moments. Beloved, September 15, 2019. At night, in my bed, I was praying, and the sleep came little by little to me, while I was praying I was carried, raised in the clouds and even beyond; Suddenly, it is as if a gigantic curtain passed in a moment in space, and I began to see Heaven; its grass, wonderful, animals, angels, people, the sea of glass that you could see everything through it to the bottom, and everything was sublimely wonderful; but at the moment that curtain was passing, dividing the known from the unknown, that is, the sinfulness from the Holy, something in me changed in microseconds; There was no worry in me, no thought of nostalgia, or anything to be aware of, my heart felt light of regrets, I was overflowing with love, and only extremely wonderful and good things emanated from it; I was another person on the inside, and although I did not have a mirror to see myself on the outside, I felt that I was another person in all its totality, and I felt that way, if there are words to explain, as if I were another person but without losing my identity, I wish I could explain it better, there was no other, there is no other way for me to explain, because never in my entire existence had I felt something like this; there is no time, no pain, no worry, nothing bad at all, and we know that but feeling it is something that had never been this in me; I saw that the beings there laugh like us, but their faces were not marked with wrinkle lines; my eyes, then at that moment, while observing everything that was there, they fixed on the face of a lion; This face was tender, without a reflection of harshness or evil, my eyes could not stop looking at it, it was a lion, but its passive face full of love, it was very amazing for me to see it. {Daisy Escalante: 09-15-2019 #01, en.p1}

In those moments, they told me: it’s time. So, there we began to return, to leave behind that huge curtain, I now saw the earthly globe in the distance, and I was allowed to see the things of the world chaos that existed around the world; then without realizing it I was back in my bed. At that time, I was told: today you are a witness to this, only those who overcome will receive eternal life. This transformation that you have felt will not be at the moment when Christ comes, but must be before, but this is going to be added to all the peace and all the blessing and all the joy and all the love that you will experience in the afterlife. It is wonderful to know that the Lord wants to give us such wonderful, such beautiful things; Here we struggle, we fight for the car, for the house, for food, for clothes; However, when we strive here to do God’s will, to receive His approval, to walk behind Him despite anxiety, of the anguish, of what they will say, of the contempt, of the dejection, of the loneliness, we realize, beloved brothers, that it is wonderful to follow in the footsteps of the teacher, no matter what happens; Seeing these things, feeling what I felt at this time, what I was allowed to feel for these moments, it is wonderful, beloved, what awaits us in the Heavenly Homeland. Let us fight with all our heart so that self can die in us, so that Christ is enthroned in the life of each one of us, so that the transformation we need prior to these heavenly joys, can be made in our lives in this world, because no one who does not reflect the character of Jesus Christ in this world will be able to enjoy this Heavenly bliss; What we are going to experience after passing that curtain and reaching the Heavenly atmosphere is wonderful, dear brothers, but a previous requirement to this is that the character of Jesus Christ flourish in the life of each one of us. {Daisy Escalante: 09-15-2019 #01, en.p3}

May 4, 2020. In dreams, I was walking in a city with many people, and I stopped to observe a body of water that was nearby. As I looked at the water I saw many bubbles coming out of it. I stood there thinking about what that could be, when I saw three huge frogs coming out of the water. They opened their mouths and, from them, hundreds of frogs came out and started jumping over the people. I told many of them to run with me to a corner of the city and that from there we could get out of it. {Daisy Escalante: 05-04-2020 , en.p1}

Some of them listened to me and we ran towards the place. The frogs hopped all over the place and on top of the people. Soon, all of us who ran to the edge of the city began to get out of it, through a rural road that was there. I stood on said road and urged them to advance. Some advanced with all their strength, others with less, and others with great complaints, but all advanced. {Daisy Escalante: 05-04-2020 , en.p2}

Soon a young man was left behind, and a frog caught up with him and jumped on his forehead. I ran to him and, with my hand, grabbed the frog to remove it from his forehead. As I pulled it off the young man screamed and grabbed his forehead. I saw how, as I pulled the frog, it had fused with the young man’s forehead and the young man’s skin was coming along with the frog I was removing. He began to bleed heavily until he collapsed to the floor from the great loss of blood. As I saw this young man lie there on the floor, his skin changed and became the color of the frog. I despaired, I didn’t know what to do! I prayed to God for him! Then I heard these words: “Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.” There I woke up. {Daisy Escalante: 05-04-2020 , en.p3}

It was horrible to witness this, beloved brothers! Let us take care, let us watch, in the light of the Holy Word of God, the transformation of our being! Because, very soon, there will be only two groups, two types of transformation: one in the likeness of God and the other in the likeness of the father of perdition. May, 9, 2020. I had another dream. I was in a mountain field, up there were many families with young people and children, all were sheltering from an approaching storm, and preparing the structures of their houses. There was a lot of controversy, but, even so, they managed to advance, although slowly. Then, it was said to me: Tell them like this: “let no one look at anyone, only at Me. Trust and advance only in Me, and, only in this way, you will be able to overcome.” {Daisy Escalante: 05-09-2020 #02, en.p1}

I dictated these words to the families, many of them had many anxieties for their husbands, for ,wives, children and other relatives. Their pain was having lagged behind before the final preparation. As they listened to the words I was ordered to say to them, they were comforted and advanced. Then, light came out of them, and those who did not follow them became angry because the light blinded them; and others woke up from their darkness. I saw how those who complained were blown away by a great wind, and I saw them no more. {Daisy Escalante: 05-09-2020 #02, en.p2}

From those whom light came forth, they continued, in spite of the pain for the absence of others. They continued

on their way after the preparation, and while even more they walked on this direction, their grief became lighter and lighter. Thus they continued on their way towards perfection in Christ Jesus. Beloved, there I woke up. {Daisy Escalante: 05-09-2020 #02, en.p3}

I only know, that I can tell you, what is this pain and anguish to see loved ones despise the last calls that Christ offers in His great mercy. But He says: “Come to Me and I will give you rest. My peace I leave with you, My peace I give you, not as the world gives it, I give it to you. The question for all in this hour is, beloved, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Persecution, affliction, tribulation, famine, or nakedness?” Let us fight, beloved, and let us run the race in such a way as to achieve victory in Christ Jesus.
