Sabbath Delight

1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

Fanatics and Fanaticism Will Press In—We are living in a time when every phase of fanaticism will press its way in among believers and unbelievers. Satan will come in, speaking lies in hypocrisy. Everything that he can invent to deceive men and women will be brought forward.— Letter 121, 1901 {1MCP 38.1}

How Satan Does It—We have found in our experience that if Satan cannot keep souls bound in the ice of indifference, he will try to push them into the fire of fanaticism. When the Spirit of the Lord comes among His people, the enemy seizes his opportunity to work also upon different minds and lead them to mingle their own peculiar traits of character with the work of God. Thus there is always danger that they may allow their own spirit to mingle with the work and that unwise moves may be made. Many carry on a work of their own devising that is not prompted by God.— Letter 34, 1889 (Similar to Testimonies for the Church 5:644.) {1MCP 38.2}

Result of Cherishing Defective Tendencies—There are some who will not hear. So long have they chosen to follow their own way and their own wisdom, so long have they cherished defective hereditary and cultivated tendencies of character, that they are blind and cannot see afar off. By them, principles are perverted, false standards are raised, tests are made that bear not the signature of Heaven…. Some of these very ones make their boasts in the Lord as a people who do righteousness and forsake not the ordinances of their God.— Manuscript 36, 1902. {1MCP 38.3}

Bereft of a Healthy Mental Attitude—Those taken in Satan’s snare have not yet come to a healthy mental attitude. They are dazed, self-important, self-sufficient. Oh, with what sorrow the Lord looks upon them and hears their great swelling words of vanity. They are puffed up with pride. The enemy is looking on with surprise at their being taken captive so easily.— Letter 126, 1906 {1MCP 39.1}

Spurious Humility—Much fitful, spurious humility is seen among professed Christians. Some, determined to conquer self, place themselves as low as possible; but they try only in their own strength, and the next wave of praise or flattery carries them up out of sight. They are not willing to submit wholly to God, and He cannot work through them. {1MCP 39.2}

Take no glory whatever to yourself. Do not work with a divided mind, trying to serve God and self at the same time. Keep self out of sight. Let your words lead the weary and heavy-laden to Jesus, the compassionate Saviour. Work as seeing Him who is at your right hand, ready to give you strength for service. Your only safety is in entire dependence upon Christ.—The Review and Herald, May 11, 1897. {1MCP 39.3; 1MCP.52.4}

Too Much Made of a Happy Flight of Feeling—Some are not satisfied with a meeting unless they have a powerful and happy time. They work for this and get up an excitement of feeling. But the influence of such meetings is not beneficial. When the happy flight of feeling is gone, they sink lower than before the meeting because their happiness did not come from the right source. The most profitable meetings for spiritual advancement are those which are characterized with solemnity and deep searching of heart; each seeking to know himself and earnestly, and in deep humility, seeking to learn of Christ.—Testimonies for the Church 1:412 (1864). {1MCP 39.4}

Strange Exercises—By such fanaticism as we have lately had among us in California in peculiar exercises and the claim of power to cast out devils, Satan is seeking to deceive if possible the very elect. These persons, claiming to have a special message for our people, would charge one and another with being possessed of an evil spirit. Then after praying with them they would declare the devil cast out. The result of their work testified of its character. I was bidden to say to our people that the Lord was not in these strange exercises but that such exhibitions would deceive souls to their ruin unless they were warned, and Bible truth would be perverted.— Letter 12, 1909 {1MCP 40.1}

Naturally Combative—Some are naturally combative. They do not care whether they harmonize with their brethren or not. They would like to enter into controversy, would like to fight for their particular ideas; but they should lay this aside, for it is not developing the Christian graces. Work with all your power to answer the prayer of Christ, that His disciples may be one, as He is one with the Father. Not a soul of us is safe unless we learn of Christ daily, His meekness and lowliness. {1MCP 40.2}

In your labor do not be dictatorial, do not be severe, do not be antagonistic. Preach the love of Christ, and this will melt and subdue hearts. Seek to be of one mind and one judgment with your brethren and to speak the same things. This talking about divisions because all do not have the same ideas as present themselves to your mind is not the work of God but of the enemy. Talk the simple truth wherein you can agree. Talk of unity; do not become narrow and conceited; let your mind broaden.— Manuscript 111, 1894. {1MCP 40.3; 1MCP.53.3}

Following a Self-established Standard—Many, many are trusting to their own righteousness. They set up a standard for themselves and do not submit to the will of Christ and allow Him to clothe them with the robe of His righteousness. They form characters according to their own will and pleasure. Satan is well pleased with their religion. They misrepresent the perfect character—the righteousness—of Christ. Themselves deceived, they deceive others. They are not accepted of God. They are liable to lead other souls into false paths. They will at last receive their reward with the great deceiver—Satan.— Manuscript 138, 1902. {1MCP 41.1}

Reaction of a Fanatic—A few years since, a man named N, of Red Bluff, California, came to me to deliver his message…. He thought God had passed all the leading workers and given him the message. I attempted to show him that he was mistaken…. When we told him our reasons and set the matter before him, that he was in error, he had great power come upon him, and he certainly gave a loud cry…. We had much trouble with him; his mind became unbalanced, and he had to be placed in the insane asylum.— Letter 16, 1893. (Selected Messages 2:64.) {1MCP 41.2}

How to Meet the Fanatic—God calls upon His servants to study His mind and will. Then when men come with their curiously invented theories, enter not into controversy with them, but affirm what you know. “It is written” is to be your weapon. There are men who will try to spin out their fine threads of false theories. Thank God that there are those also who have been taught of Him and who know what is truth.— Letter 191, 1905. {1MCP 41.3}

Guard Expressions and Attitudes—This is a time when we need to be very watchful and to guard carefully the character of the work done. Some will seek to bring in false theories and will come with false messages. Satan will stir human minds to create fanaticism in our ranks. We have seen something of this in the year 1908. The Lord desires His people to move carefully, guarding the expressions and even the attitude. Satan will use peculiarities of attitude and voice to cause excitement and to work on human minds to deceive.— Letter 12, 1909 {1MCP 41.4}

Avoid Tests of Human Invention—New and strange things will continually arise to lead God’s people into false excitement, religious revivals, and curious developments; but our people should not be subjected to any tests of human invention that will create controversy in any line.— Manuscript 167, 1897. {1MCP 42.1}

Beware of “New.” “Wonderful,” So-called Advanced Light—My soul is much burdened, for I know what is before us. Every conceivable deception will be brought to bear upon those who have not a daily, living connection with God. Satan’s angels are wise to do evil, and they will create that which some will claim to be advanced light and will proclaim it as new and wonderful; yet while in some respects the message may be truth, it will be mingled with human inventions and will teach for doctrine the commandments of men. If there was ever a time when we should watch and pray in real earnest, it is now. {1MCP 42.2}

Many apparently good things will need to be carefully considered with much prayer; for they are specious devices of the enemy to lead souls in a path which lies so close to the path of truth that it will be scarcely distinguishable from it. But the eye of faith may discern that it is diverging, though almost imperceptibly, from the right path. At first it may be thought positively right, but after a while it is seen to be widely divergent from the way which leads to holiness and heaven. My brethren, I warn you to make straight paths for your feet, lest the lame be turned out of the way.— Manuscript 82, 1894. {1MCP 42.3; 1MCP.55.3}

Fanaticism Hard to Quench—Fanaticism, once started and left unchecked, is as hard to quench as a fire which has obtained hold of a building. Those who have entered into and sustained this fanaticism [holy flesh] might far better be engaged in secular labor, for by their inconsistent course of action they are dishonoring the Lord and imperiling His people. Many such movements will arise at this time when the Lord’s work should stand elevated, pure, unadulterated with superstition and fables. We need to be on our guard, to maintain a close connection with Christ, that we be not deceived by Satan’s devices.—The General Conference Bulletin, April 23, 1901. Fine-drawn Theories That Fill the Mind—Satan is working in many ways that the very men who ought to preach the message may be occupied with fine-drawn theories which he will cause to appear of such magnitude and importance as to fill the whole mind; and while they think they are making wonderful strides in experience, they are idolizing a few ideas, and their influence is injured and tells but little on the Lord’s side. {1MCP 43.2}

Let every minister make earnest efforts to ascertain what is the mind of Christ. There are those who pick out from the Word of God, and also from the Testimonies, detached paragraphs or sentences that may be interpreted to suit their ideas, and they dwell upon these and build themselves up in their own positions, when God is not leading them. Now all this pleases the enemy. We should not needlessly take a course that will make differences or cause dissension. We should not give the impression that if our particular ideas are not followed, it is because the ministers are lacking in comprehension. {1MCP 43.3; 1MCP.56.2}

There are in the lessons of Christ subjects in abundance that you can speak upon, and mysteries which neither you nor your hearers can understand or explain might better be left alone. Give the Lord Jesus Christ Himself room to teach; let Him by the influence of His Spirit open to the understanding the wonderful plan of salvation.— Manuscript 111, 1894. {1MCP 43.4; 1MCP.56.3}

Turn Away From the Negative Side (counsel to a minister)—If you could see the result of always occupying the negative side, as you have done for years to a greater or less extent, you would have a better understanding of the words of the Saviour, recorded in the eighteenth chapter of Matthew. The disciples came to Jesus with the question, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh!” (Matthew 18:1-7). {1MCP 44.1}

My brother, cast away all evil thinking. Humble your heart before God. Then, your eyes being opened, you will no longer stand on the negative side. “If thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire” (Matthew 18:8). Cut away your defective attributes, however painful to human nature it may be to do this. “And if thine eye”—so sharp to see something to criticize or oppose—“offend thee, pluck it out, and cast if from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” (verse 9).— Letter 93, 1901 {1MCP 44.2; 1MCP.57.1}

Faith Overcomes Negativism—We shall have success if we move forward in faith, determined to do the work of God intelligently. We must not allow ourselves to be hindered by men who love to stand on the negative side, showing very little faith. God’s missionary work is to be carried forward by men of much faith and is steadily to grow in force and efficiency.— Letter 233, 1904 {1MCP 44.3}

The Peril of Individual Independence—There have ever been in the church those who are constantly inclined toward individual independence. They seem unable to realize that independence of spirit is liable to lead the human agent to have too much confidence in himself and to trust in his own judgment rather than to respect the counsel and highly esteem the judgment of his brethren, especially of those in the offices that God has appointed for the leadership of His people. God has invested His church with special authority and power which no one can be justified in disregarding and despising, for he who does this despises the voice of God.—The Acts of the Apostles, 163, 164 (1911). {1MCP 45.1}

Peace Found in Cherishing Meekness—The soul finds rest only in cherishing meekness and lowliness of heart. The peace of Christ is never found where selfishness reigns. The soul cannot grow in grace when it is self-centered and proud. Jesus assumed the position that man must take in order that the peace of Christ may abide in the heart. Those who have offered themselves to Christ to become His disciples must deny self daily, must lift up the cross and follow in the footsteps of Jesus. They must go where His example leads the way.— Letter 28, 1888 {1MCP 45.2}

The Virtue of Christian Courtesy—Paul, though firm as a rock to principle, yet ever preserved his courtesy. He was zealous for the vital points and was not regardless of the grace and politeness due to social life. The man of God did not absorb the man of humanity.— Letter 25, 1870 (HC 236.) {1MCP 45.3}

Some persons speak in a harsh, uncourteous manner that wounds the feelings of others, and then they justify themselves by saying, “It is my way; I always tell just what I think”; and they exalt this wicked trait of character as a virtue. Their uncourteous deportment should be firmly rebuked.—The Review and Herald, September 1, 1885. (HC 229.) {1MCP 45.4; 1MCP.58.2}

The Author Called to Meet Every Phase of Fanaticism—In 1844 we had to meet fanaticism on every hand, but always the word came to me: A great wave of excitement is an injury to the work. Keep your feet in the footprints of Christ. I was given a message to meet every phase of fanaticism. I was instructed to show the people that under a wave of excitement a strange work is done. There are those who improve the opportunity to bring in superstitions. Thus the door is closed to the promulgation of sound doctrine.— Letter 17, 1902 {1MCP 46.1}

An Impending Danger—As the end draws near, the enemy will work with all his power to bring in fanaticism among us. He would rejoice to see Seventh-day Adventists going to such extremes that they would be branded by the world as a body of fanatics. Against this danger I am bidden to warn ministers and lay members. Our work is to teach men and women to build on a true foundation, to plant their feet on a plain “Thus saith the Lord.”—Gospel Workers, 316 (1915). {1MCP 46.2}

Mind Control One Form of Fanaticism—I have spoken distinctly regarding the dangerous science which says that one person shall give up his mind to the control of another. This science is the devil’s own. {1MCP 46.3}

This is the character of the fanaticism we had to meet in 1845. I did not then know what it meant, but I was called upon to bear a most decided testimony against anything of the kind.— Letter 130 1/2, 1901 {1MCP 46.4; 1MCP.59.1}

Cherish an Impartial, Optimistic Outlook—There is no reason for us to fix our eyes upon error, to grieve and complain, and lose precious time and opportunities in lamenting the faults of others…. Would it not be more pleasing to God to take an impartial outlook and see how many souls are serving God and resisting temptation and glorifying and honoring Him with their talents of means and intellect? Would it not be better to consider the wonderful, miracle-working power of God in the transformation of poor, degraded sinners, who have been full of moral pollution, who become so transformed that they are Christlike in character?— Letter 63, 1893 (HC 248.) {1MCP 46.5}

At dawn, he gave me a dream and I want to share with you, but not before without leaving, some texts that the Lord gave me: 2 Peter 3: 9, he also gave me: 1 Thessalonians 5, Jeremiah 4:20 and He gave me with the dream: Hosea 7. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p1}

That voice came, sometimes an angel comes, sometimes it is the voice of God himself, it can be recognized, it is the same constant voice, a soft voice, beautiful, these are words that I use humanly so that we can understand what I want to say to you, But humanly, we do not recognize that voice here on earth, we have not heard it anywhere, it is something sublime, it is something so wonderful and he told me this, this way, this is how the Lord told me: I will not put my Spirit on those who do not recognize me, because if they don’t recognize me I won’t be able to recognize them, my sheep hear my voice and follow me, and that’s where he told Hosea 7. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p2}

So, he gave me a dream, in the dream I saw myself that I was in a church, in that church they were like giving Sabbath school, because I saw that there were several people who were gathered in different groups as happens in Sabbath school, on Saturday mornings. So we were really trying to give an opinion regarding what was being carried there at that time, the subject that was being touched upon. But they would not let us, neither my husband nor me, because they said that after we spoke, then no one could say anything anymore because it was very convincing , very correct and did not allow other people to express themselves. Then a sister says: but isn’t that what we are looking for? Isn’t that what we are looking for? we are looking for the light and we want to know what God is trying to tell us through this. But the one who was directing did not seem to him, so we opted to stay still in a corner. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p3}

But my husband went outside and several brothers came out with him and began to ask him questions, and I could see him from afar that he was talking to them and answering them, I could see him through a church window. So I stayed inside and at one point a sister called me to sit near her, she was commenting to me: but how is this? They don’t let you speak, I don’t understand, I’m very confused. So I was trying to encourage the sister and saying: sister, don’t worry, don’t worry, the {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p4}

Lord is always in control of everything. [The sister continued saying:] No, but every time something was talked about, I learned and now what are we going to do because everyone says the same thing and then there is like no growth, everything is repetition, repetition. So I encouraged her, so that the sister would not be discouraged in the things of God. But suddenly I see that in the place where I had my church books, the bible, the hymnal; I always usually carry the spirit of prophecy, because there in the dream I also saw it. Then a sister took them out, threw them on the ground and she sat down. So I went and picked up the books and I was going to sit in another place, but another person came and sat in that place too. And so on in all the places that were unoccupied in those benches, in those church chairs, well I wanted to sit down but there was no place because always someone [inaudible] sad, I went out and said: Lord, here in this place there is no room for me, what am I going to do? {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p5}

So when I went outside, well, several people came after me, they began to ask questions and we were happy because we could dispel those people’s questions, we could answer them, and we were happy about it. But suddenly someone from inside the church came out and said: you are usurping, you are usurping the moment of worship: go away, go away, he began to shout. So the brothers who were with us got scared and went in and we, well got on a car and left. We arrived at a house, we arrived at a place and there my husband had to leave because a statement arrived that there were some people in need. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p6}

So I stayed there in that place. When I stayed there in that place, I saw through the window that it is already getting dark, but suddenly I see some people who were coming, the first two people I saw, I saw that they were Adventists, so I assumed that all the rest that came were Adventist, for some reason I knew. So when I see that they are coming and they are knocking on the door, but in a very ugly way, a way like they are trying to knock down the door. I see suddenly, two people that I know, they are people very close to me, they are not Adventists, they are homeschoolers, and they started to make me with their hand as to go to where they were. Then I go out through that place, with them, and they tell me: we have come because, I don’t know, something moved us to tell you, that these people who come, come to hurt you. Then I said inside of me: but if they are Adventists why will they come to hurt me. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p7}

But I went with them and when I go with them, they take me to a place and tell me: wait here, because we are going to contact your husband to come here too. So they who weren’t Adventists were the ones who were taking care of us. So at that moment, for some reason, two people arrived, it was a family; husband and wife, so they were Adventists, and I was already a little suspicious of what had happened to me before. But suddenly I say to them, because I saw them tired: are you sleepy? Are you tired? Come here, you can lie down for a little bit, here in the bed. I was also lying on the bed looking out the window, waiting for my husband to arrive as the girls who took me to this place told me. So when I tell them to lie down on the bed, they come and lie down on the bed, but they keep stretching, stretching on the bed until I fall out of bed, and I tell them: but you’ve already taken the whole bed. Then I get up from the ground, because I fell to the ground, I stare out the window and when I stare out the window, I don’t know in what way, but I could see how my husband was in the place where he was, and when he was carrying the people who had asked him the favor. So, at that time, when I said: Lord, but why doesn’t he come? So I see him in this moment that he is in the car and lot of people were getting closer around and started knocking the car Well, he raised the crystals. At that moment, when he raises the crystals, because these people were attacking him, like I was able to focus and when I focused; I saw that they were people that we recognized, they were people that were Adventists, or at least I had seen them in the Adventist church. Then I said: Lord, but why? what’s going on?. Then suddenly I see how this being comes down, it was a being dressed in white, comes down and begins to take out, my husband. So all the people when they saw this, they stayed there as if they were frozen, they couldn’t move, and then they took my husband out and brought him to where I was, and they took us to a place that was small, but it was hidden and they told us: wait here. And when they told us like this, well we stayed there calm, we were already happy because we were together, but at that moment we began to listen from a distance as behind some mountains, we began to hear that terrible things were happening, many screams, many loud screams. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p9}

So we began to pray, we dropped to our knees and we began to pray, and we began to ask the Lord, that the Lord protect us and that he protect all his children on the broad face of the earth because we understood that something terrible was happening. A few minutes passed, I don’t know how many, then the being returns, and when he returns he tells us: you are well, you are safe, do not be afraid. So I ask him: what is happening? And he says: hunger began, war began, ugly things began in this world, everything was already predicted, but many of them did not want to see, and they received messages, they read God’s word, they went to church but they didn’t do the proper preparation. So they haven’t gotten the refreshment and they are all getting the latter rain, but the latter rain of the enemy, the enemy is taking possession of their bodies, they are disorganized, they are all fighting each other, you must run away from here, you all cannot be here anymore. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p10}

So we went down a road, where he raised his hand and pointed to us, and we kept running, running, running, until we climbed some mountains that were there, they weren’t very big, but there were a lot of trees and for some reason there we felt safe. . We stayed there, until everything passed, we felt everything calmer, at that moment we saw other people who also came running, and we saw these other humans, but they no longer looked like humans, they seemed like incarnations of demons that were there, this running to others who were coming in the same direction ofus, and for some reason, I don’t know how, we went out and started helping them up, and up and up, and when they were going up; they, those who came behind who came as demonized, could not go up to that place. We were there, we were tense, we were scared by what we had seen but we felt safe. So at that moment when I am in that place, there seeing that scene, it was repeated Hosea 7 to me again, tell my people to please read Hosea 7, tell my people that I am returning, tell my people to prepare, tell my people that if they do not get on account with me; I will not be able to save them. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p12}

It was very sad dear brothers because I would like with all my heart, with all my heart, dear brothers, that we all proceed to repentance and that we all be saved. The Lord is calling his people, the Lord wants, with all his heart, that his people surrender to him, that we stop seeing the things of this world, everything is vanity, all this will pass. thinking about money, in what am I going to do here? What am I going to do there? However, the Lord is calling us. Let us listen to the Lord, let us go to him, surrender ourselves with all our hearts, read his word, the spirit of prophecy, fast, pray, seek him from the heart, because the Lord is coming, the Lord is about to return, all things are almost in place, one or another event is missing so that all things already happen and our Lord can come to look for his people. {Daisy Escalante: 08-04-2017 , en.p14}

But the people are sleeping, the people are not realizing the things that are happening, there are very few, and he suffers because of that. And that’s why he sends messages so that we can wake up; [Not only] through me, but through other people are also happening. At that moment I then saw how time passed and the industrious family already had a small house just to sleep and cover themselves from the inclement of the weather, I also saw that they had a home irrigation system, it was like channels, wood similar to bamboo, and things like that. Then I also saw that the plantations had all kinds of food, such as leaves, smaller and larger fruits; I also saw many medicinal plants, I could appreciate in that garden; I saw that they were happy and had no worries. At that moment I was shown that they were on a Saturday, they were under a very leafy tree, they met there, they began to talk about the bible, the word of God, the holy book; they also read the Spirit of Prophecy and I heard them singing hymns from the old Adventist hymnal. I got closer to listen and see what they were reading, because suddenly I saw that their faces were kind of grateful, but at the same time worried. So when I got closer and looked, I saw that they had the Bible open in Daniel 11: 40-45, there was pointing the finger of the father of that family who was the one who was reading, then my eyes were fixed on those verses, then they read and thanked God because despite everything that arose outside, they were safe, because I said: “what is happening outside?” Then my companion told me: “come and see.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p5}

We left that mountain and rose to see the planet quite high up from the ground, I saw it because it was high up and I could see the ground down, and I began to hear detonations, very strong detonations and see bombs in different places, there were dead everywhere, then some ran in great despair, then at that moment I was terrified and said: “my God, my God, what is happening?!” My companion told me: “it is the moment of the great slaughter,” then there was such despair, the nations were maddened, they did not stop attacking each other, the spectacle was terrible of what was happening there. I began to see terror, hunger, there was desolation, all this covered the planet earth in blackness, so my companion told me: “let’s go.” So I said: “where are we going?” And he told me: “come and see.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p6}

Then I was taken back to the mountains, there I saw again that family that was industrious and happy, and I also saw the family that did not work much, I saw how this family cried and lamented their delay, they prayed for help, but this did not reach them, their little food had been scarce, I could see that in their food vessels they had almost nothing so hunger invested them and I began to see them come down from the mountain and that they prostrated themselves before the system in order to obtain food, then I got desperate and said: “Lord please do something!” Then my companion told me: “their fate is cast, everything was predicted, the plan was drawn up, but the people perished for lack of knowledge.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p7}

Then I saw how this family after obtaining this food, they were then brutally killed!, it was very sad what was happening there, loved ones in this scene!

Then I started to cry because I knew this family and I felt that my heart was going to tear, so when I no longer knew what to do I said: “Lord!, what is happening? Why are your people not paying attention to what is happening?” Then I realized, it came to me as a revelation, as if it were a movie where I myself had advised them and exposed the divine plan; but they took everything as a suggestion and not as a command, [to] obey, from God and now for this they had perished. {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p8}

It was so sad that I fell to the ground and no longer wanted to see!; I cried, I cried and I asked: “Why? Why? Why do they ignore if the destruction was predicted?” Then my companion told me: “no one has an excuse, the Holy Spirit appealed to all and they closed the door.” Then he said to me: “tell them that everything is ready and that if they do not obey they will perish; the Holy One of Israel will open doors for those who are willing.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p9}

Then he gave me these little instructions that I want to share with you:

-we must pray without ceasing,

-we must fast;

-we must study the Bible, the Spirit of prophecy;

-be aware of events,

-humble ourselves before God and

-take action in the name of the Lord.

After this I was told: “remember, remember what you saw; small cabin, land that has water, planting and shelter. It’s all that is needed, tell them to go back to the old ways.” He told me: “and don’t delay if you want to save yourself.” Then at that moment there was silence and suddenly he came back and told me: “the King of kings and Lord of lords is getting everything ready and his enemy too, tell them that only by obedience without reserve can they be saved.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-14-2017 , en.p10}

Daniel 11:40-45

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

How to become the property of God? Satan, we know that he has tricks prepared for anyone who is not strengthened, so then, how should we be strengthened? -is the question-; We must be in constant prayer and fervent faith, then beloved, it is our duty to work to remove the stumbling blocks from the path, we have to confess before God, every day, at all times, in all places, abandon all that is letting us fall in the sin, because we cannot get into the little relaxation that every day I sin and every day I ask the Lord for forgiveness, and since He is all mercy, because every day He has to forgive me, no, we have to confess and separate us; God said to the prostitute woman, He told her: “go and sin no more.” So, we also see, right?, this woman who was caught in adultery, when he said go and sin no more, the woman left, right?, she left comforted, she left grateful because God offered her forgiveness, exempted her from death at that time they were going to stone her, but we also see the case of Mary, Mary was a prostitute, that three times, God had to remove these demons from prostitution. It is nothing more than you have to make a list, and everyone do the same, no; each of us have things, that God and we are the ones who know, right, that we must clear, that we must remove those anathemas from among us, so that God is the one who dwells through us, and gives us the conviction , and the certainty that that is what is wrong, and that is why He cannot pour out His Holy Spirit on us, and we with His help remove and sweep all that from the dark recesses of our hearts and minds so that then the Holy Spirit of God can come; so while I am doing the will of satan, there will be no revival, and we will not receive the Holy Spirit, and we will see how those who met the requirements will receive it, and they will be left behind; How sad it will be that I can see in my family that someone is receiving the Holy Spirit of God and that suddenly I was left behind because I simply did not want to meet God’s requirements, because I wanted to follow my way, or how I made it up, or how I liked it!; then we are going to see this situation very sad. {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p19}

So is it possible to resist the power of the enemy? It is a very interesting question; Is it then possible to resist the power of the enemy? So if we are living in this solemn time, what are we doing? Where are we focusing? What is our end?. So we see that this is why satan works with soft and lukewarm messages, lacking in efficacy. In these messages there is only a delay of death instigated by the enemy of souls and his henchmen. In 1844, our Savior entered the most Holy place, the Heavenly Sanctuary, to begin examining the case of the righteous dead, and when it is completed, the judgment of the living follows, when this is over, and the whole situation is finished, then follow the judgment of the living. So we have to live aware that we are already in the judgment of the living, all the signs, everything that is happening, indicates all this. So we have to live consciously – beloved – that each one of us has a pending case in the heavenly court, and we have to be judged individually according to what we did in this body, with the opportunity that God gave us in this world, and so that we understand this a little, let’s analyze the work that was done in the earthly sanctuary; What happened there? What was this event like? It was required that the people of God afflict their soul before God first, their sins were confessed so that they could be expiated and blotted out, that was what was done there. Now the question is: will anything less be required of us, on this real day of atonement when Christ in the Heavenly Sanctuary is interceding on behalf of His reall people, and a final and irrevocable decision must be pronounced in each case? Beloved, what is our condition in this tremendous and solemn time? Satan makes us many crafty, he gets like a clown in front of us; “Look at this I will give you if you adore me, this I will give you if you follow me, this I will give you, look, fame, fortune, women, house, land, money, everything, everything.” And we there enraptured behind one that is going to end up in the lake of fire with all that he is offering me, and I there as a fool behind; then we have to analyze, behind who we really are, and behind whom we really want to be; if the one who offers us eternal life, forever, a real life, a life that really showed us on the cross of Calvary, the resurrection and that He is in the kingdom of heaven interceding for us, He has already shown us that it can be done; or one who is simply offering us fallacies and dreams that right now are going to end with himself in the lake of fire. {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p28}

So few, few search the scriptures seeking to know in what prophetic time we live, and this is something tremendous; I always get carried away by the one who said, by the one who said, then as humans we all have a different opinion, but what is God’s opinion? In what time of God are we really living?; It is not in my calendar, nor in the one that was invented, or in which that one thinks we are; we are on God’s calendar, so we all have to be Bereans, we have to search for ourselves, kneeling before God, ask for His Holy Spirit, His discernment, His wisdom, so that then we know what God wants from each one of us. {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p29}

But waiting for one and the other to tell me, and waiting for things to fall, for me to realize it, we will not arrive in this, in this way, to fully understand the work that is being carried out at this moment for us as sinners, and the position we should have or occupy for this work of atonement to take place. So if we really care about our soul, we must take this seriously, and effect a decided change; we have to decide, decide, decide it’s very easy, I leave this and I’m going to do that, period, it’s done. Beloved, we are rapidly approaching the final closing of grace, the investing of the Holy Spirit, God wants to give it now, and has begun, has already begun, to a small extent, indeed, in some people to give it; There are already people who have already decided totally and absolutely to follow the enemy of God; But there are others who we are really determined to follow God, although we know that by our own strength we cannot, but with His help, we know that we can achieve it because He has promised to do so. God has a lawsuit with His people, His people, who claim to be His people, the organization that claims to be working for God, is not doing it. So we have to sound that alarm, because inside there are people who have not yet understood this situation very well, and God in His mercy extends His mercy, extends His grace to these people, so that they can realize it. So we must not dress in sackcloth as in ancient times, but there must be a deep humiliation of the soul, that is what God is asking, and He tells us there very clearly in Selected Messages volume 1 on page 147. So this is what God asks of each one of us, but it is sad that many live with just a breath of spiritual life, and have not kept up an aggressive fight against the world, the flesh, and the devil. In Revelation 3: 15-18, there is something tremendous, there against the ministers and members of God a serious accusation is presented, because God demands a revival and reform, they are two very different things; revival is a renewal of spiritual life, a vivication of the mental faculties and of the heart, a resurrection from spiritual death, that is a real revival; not true, as sometimes what we see, that one day, that they are all there singing and praying; no, no, no, this is something constant, constant, in life, it is a practice, it is something that we must internalize, so that we make it vivid in our lives. And what is a reform? It is a reorganization, a change of ideas and theories, of habits and practices, it is that I give a 180 degree turn to life, of what I was doing, that I knew that I was going down the road of death and take a turn of 180 degrees, and start doing the opposite of what I was doing, but now looking for Jesus Christ. That is what a revival and a reformation really is; to rise from spiritual death is revival, and reform is to make a 180 degree turn, of what I was doing, because the enemy of souls instigated me to that. So summing up revival and reformation, reformation will not bear the good fruits of righteousness, unless it is related to revival of spirit, revival and reformation are to perform their assigned work and must intermingle in doing this work; and this definition is found in the Review and Herald of February 25, 1902. {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p37}

In Selected Messages volume 1 page 152 says that: walking in the light means keeping moving in the direction of that light; It is not that I walk one step to the light and take three steps back, that is not keeping moving in the right direction. Then when the earth is illuminated with the glory of God, some will not know what it is, or where it came from, because they misapplied and misrepresented the spirit that was poured out on them. So we see this in Selected Messages volume 1, page 153. God is a God jealous of His glory, and God is not going to honor in any way those who dishonor Him, God is not going to put His spirit on those who want to do whatever they want, or what seems to them, God is going to put His spirit on those people who are really looking for what is the will of God for their lives. Some people who live in the light should have instructed inexperienced souls in the experience of walking in the light after receiving the light, to this is what God calls us to. If we are walking in the light or if we yearn to walk in the light, and we have already learned and understood some things, to help others, this is what God advises us through letter 58 in 1893. {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p42}

So how can I lose God’s blessing? Well, get into competitive games, wearing boxing gloves, boxing, watching all these things, wrestling, excess fun, at prizes, awards, accreditations, provoked emotions, excitement by the games, all these things, then there we totally and absolutely lose the blessing of God, and if we do not believe so we can see there in Selected Messages, volume 1, page 154 at 155, there it explains all these things better. So certainly the time is too full of signs of the coming conflict, for us to educate the youth in amusements and games, and we can see there in Letter 46 of 1893, where Sister Ellen G. So we see that in John 16: 7,8,13,14, God tells us that: “it is convenient for you that I go, so that if I go, the Comforter may come to you, but if I do not go, He will not come. , and when He comes into the world, He is going to convict us of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. But how often have the professed advocates of the truth proved the greatest obstacle to its advancement! Opening the Door to the Adversary

The adversary of souls is not permitted to read the thoughts of men; but he is a keen observer, and he marks the words; he takes account of actions, and skillfully adapts his temptations to meet the cases of those who place themselves in his power. If we would labor to repress sinful thoughts and feelings, giving them no expression in words or actions, Satan would be defeated; for he could not prepare his specious temptations to meet the case. {1SM 122.4; 1MS.143.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p51}

But how often do professed Christians, by their lack of self-control, open the door to the adversary of souls! Divisions, and even bitter dissensions which would disgrace any worldly community, are common in the churches, because there is so little effort to control wrong feelings, and to repress every word that Satan can take advantage of. As soon as an alienation of feeling arises, the matter is spread before Satan for his inspection, and the opportunity given for him to use his serpentlike wisdom and skill in dividing and destroying the church. There is great loss in every dissension. Personal friends of both parties take sides with their respective favorites, and thus the breach is widened. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Criminations and recriminations are engendered and multiplied. Worldlings look on, and jeeringly exclaim, “Behold how these Christians hate one another! If this is religion, we do not want it.” And they look upon themselves and their irreligious characters with great satisfaction. There is nothing that Satan fears so much as that the people of God shall clear the way by removing every hindrance, so that the Lord can pour out His Spirit upon a languishing church and an impenitent congregation. If Satan had his way, there would never be another awakening, great or small, to the end of time. But we are not ignorant of his devices. It is possible to resist his power. When the way is prepared for the Spirit of God, the blessing will come. Satan can no more hinder a shower of blessing from descending upon God’s people than he can close the windows of heaven that rain cannot come upon the earth. Wicked men and devils cannot hinder the work of God, or shut out His presence from the assemblies of His people, if they will, with subdued, contrite hearts, confess and put away their sins, and in faith claim His promises. Every temptation, every opposing influence, whether open or secret, may be successfully resisted, “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). {1SM 124.2; 1MS.144.3} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p57}

We Are in the Day of Atonement

We are in the great day of atonement, when our sins are, by confession and repentance, to go beforehand to judgment. God does not now accept a tame, spiritless testimony from His ministers. Such a testimony would not be present truth. The message for this time must be meat in due season to feed the church of God. But Satan has been seeking gradually to rob this message of its power, that the people may not be prepared to stand in the day of the Lord. {1SM 124.3; 1MS.145.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p58}

In 1844 our great High Priest entered the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, to begin the work of the investigative judgment. The cases of the righteous dead have been passing in review before God. When that work shall be completed, judgment is to be pronounced upon the living. How precious, how important are these solemn moments! Each of us has a case pending in the court of heaven. We are individually to be judged according to the deeds done in the body. In the typical service, when the work of atonement was performed by the high priest in the most holy place of the earthly sanctuary, the people were required to afflict their souls before God, and confess their sins, that they might be atoned for and blotted out. Will any less be required of us in this antitypical day of atonement, when Christ in the sanctuary above is pleading in behalf of His people, and the final, irrevocable decision is to be pronounced upon every case? {1SM 125.1; 1MS.145.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p59}

What is our condition in this fearful and solemn time? Alas, what pride is prevailing in the church, what hypocrisy, what deception, what love of dress, frivolity, and amusement, what desire for the supremacy! All these sins have clouded the mind, so that eternal things have not been discerned. Shall we not search the Scriptures, that we may know where we are in this world’s history? Shall we not become intelligent in regard to the work that is being accomplished for us at this time, and the position that we as sinners should occupy while this work of atonement is going forward? If we have any regard for our souls’ salvation, we must make a decided change. We must no longer remain upon the enchanted ground. We are fast approaching the close of our probation. Let every soul inquire, How do I stand before God? We know not how soon our names may be taken into the lips of Christ, and our cases be finally decided. What, oh, what will these decisions be! The Church to Arise and Repent

Let the church arise, and repent of her backslidings before God. Let the watchmen awake, and give the trumpet a certain sound. It is a definite warning that we have to proclaim. God commands His servants, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins” (Isaiah 58:1). The attention of the people must be gained; unless this can be done, all effort is useless; though an angel from heaven should come down and speak to them, his words would do no more good than if he were speaking into the cold ear of death. {1SM 126.1; 1MS.146.3} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p62}

The church must arouse to action. The Spirit of God can never come in until she prepares the way. There should be earnest searching of heart. There should be united, persevering prayer, and through faith a claiming of the promises of God. There should be, not a clothing of the body with sackcloth, as in ancient times, but a deep humiliation of soul. We have not the first reason for self-congratulation and self-exaltation. The work is before us; will we engage in it? We must work fast, we must go steadily forward. We must be preparing for the great day of the Lord. We have no time to lose, no time to be engaged in selfish purposes. The world is to be warned. What are we doing as individuals to bring the light before others? O my brethren, will you grieve the Holy Spirit, and cause it to depart? Will you shut out the blessed Saviour, because you are unprepared for His presence? Will you leave souls to perish without the knowledge of the truth, because you love your ease too well to bear the burden that Jesus bore for you? Reformation Accompanies Revival

In many hearts there seems to be scarcely a breath of spiritual life. This makes me very sad. I fear that aggressive warfare against the world, the flesh, and the devil has not been maintained. Shall we cheer on, by a half-dead Christianity, the selfish, covetous spirit of the world, sharing its ungodliness and smiling on its falsehood?—Nay! By the grace of God let us be steadfast to the principles of truth, holding firm to the end the beginning of our confidence. We are to be “not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11). One is our Master, even Christ. To Him we are to look. From Him we are to receive our wisdom. Sermons have been in great demand in our churches. The members have depended upon pulpit declamations instead of on the Holy Spirit. Uncalled for and unused, the spiritual gifts bestowed on them have dwindled into feebleness. If the ministers would go forth into new fields, the members would be obliged to bear responsibilities, and by use their capabilities would increase. {1SM 127.2; 1MS.148.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p67}

God brings against ministers and people the heavy charge of spiritual feebleness, saying, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see” (Revelation 3:15-18). God calls for a spiritual revival and a spiritual reformation. A revival and a reformation must take place, under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Simple Agencies Will Be Used

Representations have been made to me, showing that the Lord will carry out His plans through a variety of ways and instruments. It is not alone the most talented, not alone those who hold high positions of trust, or are the most highly educated from a worldly point of view, whom the Lord uses to do His grand and holy work of soulsaving. He will use simple means; He will use many who have had few advantages to help in carrying forward His work. The Contest Following the Revival

[In 1893 there was a marked revival in our institutions at our Battle Creek headquarters, with large evidence of the work of the Spirit of God. Much of the blessing was lost in events which followed in quick succession. After the outpouring of the Spirit of God in Battle Creek it was proved in the college that a time of great spiritual light is also a time of corresponding spiritual darkness. Satan and his legions of satanic agencies are on the ground, pressing their powers upon every soul to make of none effect the showers of grace that have come from heaven to revive and quicken the dormant energies into decided action to impart that which God has imparted. Had all the many souls, then enlightened, gone to work at once to impart to others that which God had given to them for that very purpose, more light would have been given, more power bestowed. In every age seasons of spiritual revival and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit have been followed by spiritual darkness and prevailing corruptions. Taking into account that which God has done in opportunities and privileges and blessings in Battle Creek, the church has not made honorable progress in doing her work, and God’s blessing will not rest upon the church in advancing still more light until they use the light as God has directed in His Word. The light that would shine in clear and distinct rays will grow dim amid the moral darkness. Peril of Confusing the Spirit’s Work with Fanaticism

There have been things written to me in regard to the movings of the Spirit of God at the last conference [1893], and at the college, which clearly indicate that because these blessings were not lived up to, minds have been confused, and that which was light from heaven has been called excitement. I have been made sad to have this matter viewed in this light. We must be very careful not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in pronouncing the ministration of His Holy Spirit a species of fanaticism. How shall we understand the workings of the Spirit of God if it was not revealed in clear and unmistakable lines, not only in Battle Creek but in many places? {1SM 130.1; 1MS.151.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p74}

I am not surprised that anyone should be confused at the after result. But in my experience of the past forty-nine years I have seen much of these things, and I have known that God has wrought in a marked manner; and let no one venture to say this is not the Spirit of God. It is just that which we are authorized to believe and pray for, for God is more willing to give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him than parents are to give good gifts unto their children. But the Holy Spirit is not for the human agent to work; it is to work and use the human agent. That God did abundantly bless the students in the school and the church, I have not one doubt; but a period of great light and the outpouring of the Spirit is quite generally followed by a time of great darkness. Why? When the students at the school went into their match games and football playing, when they became absorbed in the amusement question, Satan saw it a good time to step in and make of none effect the Holy Spirit of God in molding and using the human subject. Had the teachers to a man done their duty, had they realized their accountability, had they stood in moral independence before God, had they used the ability which God had given them according to the sanctification of the spirit through the love of the truth, they would have had spiritual strength and divine enlightenment to press on and on and upward on the ladder of progress reaching heavenward. It is an easy matter to idle away, talk and play away, the Holy Spirit’s influence. To walk in the light is to keep moving onward in the direction of light. If the one blessed becomes negligent and inattentive and does not watch unto prayer, if he does not lift the cross and bear the yoke of Christ, if his love of amusements and strivings for the mastery absorb his power or ability, then God is not made the first and best and last in everything, and Satan comes in to act his part in playing the game of life for his soul. The results after the working of the Spirit of God in Battle Creek are not because of fanaticism, but because those who were blessed did not show forth the praises of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light; and when the earth is lightened with the glory of God, some will not know what it is, and from whence it came, because they misapplied and misinterpreted the Spirit shed upon them. God is a jealous God of His own glory. He will not honor those who dishonor Him. Some persons living in the light ought to have instructed these souls young in experience to walk in the light after they had received the light. Easy Ways to Lose the Blessing

Some things have been urged upon my mind with great force of late, and I feel constrained by the Spirit of God to write in reference to them. [Addressed to the president of Battle Creek College.] Has the Lord graciously opened to you the windows of heaven and poured you out a blessing? Oh! Then, that was the very time to educate the teachers and students how to retain the precious favor of God by working in accordance with increased light, and send its precious rays to others. Has Heaven’s light been given? And for what purpose has it been given? That the light should shine forth in practical works of righteousness. When those so abundantly blessed shall be seen with deeper and more fervent piety, having a sense that they have been bought with the precious blood of the Lamb of God, and are clothed with the garments of His salvation, will they not represent Christ? {1SM 132.1; 1MS.153.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p79}

Have not the playing of games, and rewards, and the using of the boxing glove been educating and training after Satan’s direction to lead to the possession of his attributes? What if they could see Jesus, the Man of Calvary looking upon them in sorrow, as was represented to me. Things are certainly receiving a wrong mold, and are counteracting the work of the divine power which has been graciously bestowed. The work of every true Christian is to represent Christ, to reflect light, to elevate the standard of morals, and by words and influence consecrated to God, to compel the careless and reckless to think of God and eternity. The world would gladly drop eternity out of their reckoning, but they cannot succeed so long as there are those who represent Christ in their practical life. {1SM 132.2; 1MS.154.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p80}

Every believer forms a link in the golden chain connecting the soul to Jesus Christ, and is the channel of communication of that light to those who are in darkness. Let one lose his connection with Christ, and Satan seizes the opportunity to lead him to dishonor Christ by words, by spirit, by action, and thus Christ’s character is misinterpreted. I ask you, my brother, if the religion of Jesus Christ is not by the excess of the amusements misunderstood. When the Lord gave to Battle Creek the riches of His grace, were there those in responsibility who could have directed these souls as to how to improve upon the endowment given, in doing good, useful work that would give a change from their studies, other than the excitement and emotions caused by their games? This kind of pastime is not improving mind or spirit or manners for the preparation for the scenes of trial that they must soon enter. The Lord would have the teachers consider the contagion of their own example. They need to pray much more and consider that the convictions which flow out from a well-ordered life and a godly conversation, from a living, decided Christianity, are the preparation of the garden of the heart for the seeds of truth to be planted for a fruitful harvest, and for the Sun of Righteousness when He comes with healing in His beams. Let your righteousness so shine before men, “that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). “Ye are,” said Christ to His disciples, “the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men” (Matthew 5:13). The church illuminates the world, not by their profession of godliness, but by their manifestation of the transforming, sanctifying power of the truth on life and character…. {1SM 133.1; 1MS.155.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p82}

The time is altogether too full of tokens of the coming conflict to be educating the youth in fun and games.—Letter 46, 1893. {1SM 133.2; 1MS.155.2}

Danger of Light Becoming Darkness

The Lord has condescended to give you an outpouring of His Holy Spirit. At the camp meetings, and in our various institutions, a great blessing has been showered upon you. You have been visited by the heavenly messengers of light and truth and power, and it should not be thought a strange thing that God should thus bless you. How does Christ subdue His chosen people to Himself?—It is by the power of His Holy Spirit; for the Holy Spirit, through the Scriptures, speaks to the mind, and impresses truth upon the hearts of men. Before His crucifixion, Christ promised that the Comforter should be sent to His disciples. He said: “It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment…. When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you” (John 16:7, 8, 13-15). {1SM 133.3; 1MS.155.3} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p83}

This promise of Christ has been made little enough of, and because of a dearth of the Spirit of God, the spirituality of the law and its eternal obligations have not been comprehended. Those who have professed to love Christ, have not comprehended the relation which exists between them and God, and it is still but dimly outlined to their understanding. They but vaguely comprehend the amazing grace of God in giving His only-begotten Son for the salvation of the world. They do not understand how far reaching are the claims of the holy law, how intimately the precepts of the law are to be brought into practical life. They do not realize what a great privilege and necessity are prayer, repentance, and the doing of the words of Christ. It is the office of the Holy Spirit to reveal to the mind the character of the consecration that God will accept. Through the agency of the Holy Spirit, the soul is enlightened, and the character is renewed, sanctified, and uplifted. {1SM 134.1; 1MS.156.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p84}

Through the deep movings of the Spirit of God, I have had opened before me the character of the work of the visitation of the Spirit of God. I have had opened before me the danger in which souls would be placed who had been thus visited; for afterward, they would have to meet fiercer assaults of the enemy, who would press upon them his temptations to make of none effect the workings of the Spirit of God, and cause that the momentous truths presented and witnessed by the Holy Spirit, should not purify and sanctify those who had received the light of heaven, and thus cause that Christ should not be glorified in them. {1SM 134.2; 1MS.156.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p85}

The period of great spiritual light, if that light is not sacredly cherished and acted upon, will be turned into a time of corresponding spiritual darkness. The impression made by the Spirit of God, if men do not cherish the sacred impression, and occupy holy ground, will fade from the mind. Those who would advance in spiritual knowledge must stand by the very fount of God, and drink again and again from the wells of salvation so graciously opened unto them. They must never leave the source of refreshment; but with hearts swelling with gratitude and love at the display of the goodness and compassion of God, they must be continually partakers of the living water. {1SM 135.1; 1MS.157.1} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p86}

Oh, how much this means to every soul—”I am the light of the world”; “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger [for anything more satisfying]; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst” (John 8:12; 6:35). To come to this condition means that you have found the Source of light and love, and have learned when and how you may be replenished, and may make use of the promises of God by continually applying them to your souls. {1SM 135.2; 1MS.157.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p87}

“But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not” (John 6:36). This has been literally fulfilled in the cases of many; for the Lord gave them a deeper insight into truth, into His character of mercy and compassion and love; and yet after being thus enlightened, they have turned from Him in unbelief. They saw the deep movings of the Spirit of God; but when the insidious temptations of Satan came in, as they always will come after a season of revival, they did not resist unto blood, striving against sin; and those who might have stood on vantage ground, had they made a right use of the precious enlightenment that they had, were overcome by the enemy. The Truth about the Angels [TA] chapter 6 -Enoch-

Enoch learned from the lips of Adam the painful story of the fall, and the precious story of God’s condescending grace in the gift of His Son as the world’s Redeemer. He believed and relied upon the promise given. Enoch was a holy man. He served God with singleness of heart. He realized the corruptions of the human family, and separated himself from the descendants of Cain, and reproved them for their great wickedness…. His soul was vexed as he daily beheld them trampling upon the authority of God…. He chose to be separate from them and spent much of his time in solitude, giving himself to reflection and prayer. He waited before God, and prayed to know His will more perfectly, that he might perform it. God communed with Enoch through His angels, and gave him divine instruction. He made known to him that He would not always bear with man in his rebellion—that it was His purpose to destroy the sinful race by bringing a flood of waters upon the earth. {TA 66.1; VAAn.70.2} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p89}

The Lord opened more fully to Enoch the plan of salvation, and by the Spirit of prophecy carried him down through the generations which should live after the flood, and showed him the great events connected with the second coming of Christ and the end of the world. {TA 66.2; VAAn.70.3} {Daisy Escalante: 09-18-2017 , en.p90}

Enoch was troubled in regard to the dead. It seemed to him that the righteous and the wicked would go to the dust together, and that would be their end. He could not see the life of the just beyond the grave. He [Enoch] chose certain periods for retirement, and would not suffer the people to find him, for they interrupted his holy meditation and communion with God. Enoch continued to grow more heavenly while communing with God…. The Lord loved Enoch, because he steadfastly followed Him, and abhorred iniquity, and earnestly sought a more perfect knowledge of His will that he might perform it. He yearned to unite himself still more closely to God, whom he feared, reverenced, and adored. The Lord would not permit Enoch to die like other men, but sent His angels to take him to heaven without seeing death. In the presence of the righteous and the wicked, Enoch was removed from them. The Lord has given me a view of other worlds. Wings were given me, and an angel attended me from the city to a place that was bright and glorious…. Then I was taken to a world which had seven moons. There I saw good old Enoch, who had been translated. On his right arm he bore a glorious palm, and on each leaf was written “Victory.” Around his head was a dazzling white wreath, and leaves on the wreath, and in the middle of each leaf was written “Purity,” and around the wreath were stones of various colors, that shone brighter than the stars, and cast a reflection upon the letters and magnified them. On the back part of his head was a bow that confined the wreath, and upon the bow was written “Holiness.” Above the wreath was a lovely crown that shone brighter than the sun. Enoch represents those who shall remain upon the earth and be translated to heaven without seeing death. He represents that company that are to live amid the perils of the last days, and withstand all the corruption, vileness, sin, and iniquity, and yet be unsullied by it all. We can stand as did Enoch. Beloved, September 1, 2018. The Lord impressed me a lot about how we should avoid having love for the past and the future, He told me: “beware of memories and emotions.” I saw how things were kept in bookshelves and drawers, things from the past that time after time the people looked a lot and preferred to live in that past, lamenting that past or wishing to relive that moment. {Daisy Escalante: 09-01-2018 , en.p1}

I saw others that their life also revolved in the future, and their dreams and ambitions were their life, and they did not allow anyone to take them out of that ecstasy in which they were living at that moment. I was told that no one who was not very conscious of the present will not be able to prevail, because God is not in the future or in the past, He lives in our present. Beloved, September 23, 2018. At dawn the Lord began to speak to me about how we must have all sin confessed before Him in order to be ready for the final test. I was told that every sin that comes to our memory from the past is one that is not properly confessed and forgiven. “It is not just asking for forgiveness,” I was instructed, “but asking for forgiveness with a contrite and humbled heart, and with genuine repentance, and turning away from said sin and not looking back. Then I was told: “remember,” and He began to give me a list, “the Holy Spirit will knock on the door, He must be allowed to enter, He will convince them of sin and judgment, He will work in whom lets Him enter in genuine repentance, your sinful life will pass as a film before you all so that you all recognize that I am God and I know everything and nothing is hidden from my presence, accept the rebuke with a contrite and humbled heart and confess it and turn away entirely; Only in this way can you be accepted and forgiven and before the fire you will not be consumed but it will refine you and thus you will be able to obtain the victory, because I will be able to dwell in you all and you all will be my special treasure forever.” {Daisy Escalante: 09-23-2018 , en.p3}

“The final test is now coming,” He told me, “and my work is almost finished.”

“Blessed is he who trusts in me!

Blessed is he who puts his hand to the plow and does not turn back!

Blessed is he who is not afraid to call sin by its name!

Blessed is he who is loyal to God rather than to men!

Blessed is he who leaves all that the world offers for the kingdom of God!

Blessed is he who takes up his cross and follows me!

Blessed is he whose only thought is to do my will!

Blessed is he who is mistreated and hated for my name!

Blessed is he who loves being hated!

Blessed is he who struggle for the good to do with all his might!

Blessed is he who hates sin but loves the sinner!

Blessed is he who meditates on my law, ordinances and statutes!

Blessed is he who lives in my presence!

Blessed is he who brings the word of my patience to this world even though this rejects it!

Blessed is he who is persecuted without any cause!

For whoever does so will inherit the kingdom of heaven.” He said to me: “then do this and you will live.”

Blessed God for His love!, that love and His fidelity that we do not deserve, that being sinners Christ died for each one of us. Beloved, when I woke up I was happy to know that a God so infinite and exalted and sublime, is so great in mercy, justice and love, and imparts it to each one of His children. May the Lord grant that each one of us can be on account with God, with a God so beautiful, so merciful, so sublime, so exalted! A God who does everything and tells us everything we must do so that we can be accountable to Him; His love we do not understand, it is too big. Our heart is softened to know that such an infinite God has compassion on each one of us that we do not deserve it. I was allowed to know that we must not waste our time on criticism or anything that interferes with our duty. The road is more narrow now and will continue to shrink and we will see many loved ones and acquaintances left behind. If we love our salvation we must not hesitate. We are now in Adam’s trial when Eve fell, he for love of her with all conscience consented to suffer the same fate and this has been the most horrendous and cruel story that the universe has experienced; If Adam had remained faithful, the story would have been very different. Ask for discernment from on high and seek the Lord your God from your heart, and your understanding will be opened, and thus you will be able to be delivered from the great affliction! “Seek everything noble, everything pure, everything true and in this think.” I was let known that “the closer we get to the divine standard, the more attack you will have and the more alone you will be; accused by family and friends, of deranged fanatics and despised even by the children, their north should always be to look to the King of kings and Lord of lords.” It was let me known that “each family was a loan for each other, in order to avoid human selfishness, but salvation is individual; try to give the right touch to it with voice and example, and guide its way in the ancient path. Beloved, February 24, 2020. In dreams I saw how many of us were preparing for a situation where we would have to leave quickly and with what is most necessary, because there would be no other opportunity. According to the training we had received, it was so, and for months we were in it. The training ended and we began to execute what we learned. We got ready and went to find a lady who was also getting ready. When I arrived to find her, I put on a side of the pick-up truck a box that we carried with the indispensable of each one of my family. I said: lady, we came to look for you, which is your luggage? She told me, this. When I saw the lady’s luggage, I saw that she was practically having a move. I said: “but lady, this is a move, you have to leave quickly and only with what is super necessary.” She replied: “this is what is necessary for me.” And she began article by article to describe why it was necessary for her.
