Ephesians 2

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Prayer (Pr)

chapter 1 “God invites us to pray”

Linked With God Through Prayer

It is a wonderful thing that we can pray effectually; that unworthy, erring mortals possess the power of offering their requests to God. What higher power can man desire than this,—to be linked with the infinite God? Feeble, sinful man has the privilege of speaking to his Maker. We may utter words that reach the throne of the Monarch of the universe. We may speak with Jesus as we walk by the way, and He says, I am at thy right hand. {Pr 7.1}

We may commune with God in our hearts; we may walk in companionship with Christ. When engaged in our daily labor, we may breathe out our heart’s desire, inaudible to any human ear; but that word cannot die away into silence, nor can it be lost. Nothing can drown the soul’s desire. It rises above the din of the street, above the noise of machinery. It is God to whom we are speaking, and our prayer is heard. {Pr 7.2; Or.9.2}

Ask, then; ask, and ye shall receive. Ask for humility, wisdom, courage, increase of faith. To every sincere prayer an answer will come. It may not come just as you desire, or at the time you look for it; but it will come in the way and at the time that will best meet your need. The prayers you offer in loneliness, in weariness, in trial, God answers, not always according to your expectations, but always for your good.—(Gospel Workers, 258.) {Pr 7.3; Or.10.1}

Jesus Invites Us to Pray

The Lord gives us the privilege of seeking Him individually in earnest prayer, of unburdening our souls to Him, keeping nothing from Him who has invited us, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Oh, how grateful we should be that Jesus is willing and able to bear all our infirmities and strengthen and heal all our diseases if it will be for our good and for His glory.—(Medical Ministry, 16.) {Pr 8.1}

“Come unto Me,” is His invitation. Whatever your anxieties and trials, spread out your case before the Lord.—(The Desire of Ages, 329.) {Pr 8.2; Or.10.3}

Tell Jesus All Your Needs

There are few who rightly appreciate or improve the precious privilege of prayer. We should go to Jesus and tell Him all our needs. We may bring Him our little cares and perplexities as well as our greater troubles. Whatever arises to disturb or distress us, we should take it to the Lord in prayer. When we feel that we need the presence of Christ at every step, Satan will have little opportunity to intrude his temptations. It is his studied effort to keep us away from our best and most sympathizing friend. We should make no one our confidant but Jesus. We can safely commune with Him of all that is in our hearts.—(Testimonies for the Church 5:200, 201.) {Pr 8.3}

Opening the Heart to a Friend

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him. {Pr 8.4}

When Jesus was upon the earth, He taught His disciples how to pray. He directed them to present their daily needs before God, and to cast all their care upon Him. And the assurance He gave them that their petitions should be heard, is assurance also to us.—(Steps to Christ, 93.) {Pr 8.5; Or.11.1}

God Welcomes Us to His Audience Chamber

We come to God by special invitation, and He waits to welcome us to His audience chamber. The first disciples who followed Jesus were not satisfied with a hurried conversation with Him by the way; they said, “Rabbi, … where dwellest Thou? … They came and saw where He dwelt, and abode with Him that day.” John 1:38, 39. So we may be admitted into closest intimacy and communion with God. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1. Let those who desire the blessing of God knock and wait at the door of mercy with firm assurance, saying, For Thou, O Lord, hast said, “Everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”( Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, 131.) {Pr 9.1}

An Exalted Privilege

When in trouble, when assailed by fierce temptations, they [God’s children] have the privilege of prayer. What an exalted privilege! Finite beings, of dust and ashes, admitted through the mediation of Christ, into the audience chamber of the Most High. In such exercises the soul is brought into a sacred nearness with God, and is renewed in knowledge, and true holiness, and fortified against the assaults of the enemy.—(An Appeal to Mothers, 24.) {Pr 9.2}

Prayer Is Both a Spiritual Necessity and a Privilege

Those who have professed to love Christ, have not comprehended the relation which exists between them and God, … They do not realize what a great privilege and necessity are prayer, repentance, and the doing of the words of Christ.—(Selected Messages 1:134.) {Pr 9.3; Or.12.1}

Prayer Enables Us to Live in the Sunshine of His Presence

It is our privilege to open our hearts, and let the sunshine of Christ’s presence in. My brother, my sister, face the light. Come into actual, personal contact with Christ, that you may exert an influence that is uplifting and reviving. Let your faith be strong and pure and steadfast. Let gratitude to God fill your hearts. When you rise in the morning, kneel at your bedside, and ask God to give you strength to fulfil the duties of the day, and to meet its temptations. Ask Him to help you to bring into your work Christ’s sweetness of character. Ask Him to help you to speak words that will inspire those around you with hope and courage, and draw you nearer to the Saviour.—(Sons and Daughters of God, 199.) {Pr 9.4}

Our Prayers Never Burden or Weary God

There is no time or place in which it is inappropriate to offer up a petition to God. There is nothing that can prevent us from lifting up our hearts in the spirit of earnest prayer. In the crowds of the street, in the midst of a business engagement, we may send up a petition to God and plead for divine guidance, as did Nehemiah when he made his request before King Artaxerxes. A closet of communion may be found wherever we are. We should have the door of the heart open continually and our invitation going up that Jesus may come and abide as a heavenly guest in the soul. {Pr 10.1}

Although there may be a tainted, corrupted atmosphere around us, we need not breathe its miasma, but may live in the pure air of heaven. We may close every door to impure imaginings and unholy thoughts by lifting the soul into the presence of God through sincere prayer. Those whose hearts are open to receive the support and blessing of God will walk in a holier atmosphere than that of earth and will have constant communion with heaven. {Pr 10.2; Or.12.4}

We need to have more distinct views of Jesus and a fuller comprehension of the value of eternal realities. The beauty of holiness is to fill the hearts of God’s children; and that this may be accomplished, we should seek for divine disclosures of heavenly things. {Pr 10.3; Or.13.1}

Let the soul be drawn out and upward, that God may grant us a breath of the heavenly atmosphere. We may keep so near to God that in every unexpected trial our thoughts will turn to Him as naturally as the flower turns to the sun. {Pr 10.4; Or.13.2}

Keep your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your cares, and your fears before God. You cannot burden Him; you cannot weary Him. He who numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children. “The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy” (James 5:11). His heart of love is touched by our sorrows and even by our utterances of them. Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds. He rules over all the affairs of the universe. {Pr 11.1; Or.13.3}

Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel…. The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watchcare, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son.—(Steps to Christ, 99, 100.) {Pr 11.2; Or.13.4}

A Foretaste of Heaven

Rest yourself wholly in the hands of Jesus. Contemplate His great love, and while you meditate upon His self-denial, His infinite sacrifice made in our behalf in order that we should believe in Him, your heart will be filled with holy joy, calm peace, and indescribable love. As we talk of Jesus, as we call upon Him in prayer, our confidence that He is our personal, loving Saviour will strengthen and His character will appear more and more lovely…. We may enjoy rich feasts of love, and as we fully believe that we are His by adoption, we may have a foretaste of heaven. Wait upon the Lord in faith. The Lord draws out the soul in prayer, and gives us to feel His precious love. We have a nearness to Him, and can hold sweet communion with Him. We obtain distinct views of His tenderness and compassion, and our hearts are broken and melted with contemplation of the love that is given to us. We feel indeed an abiding Christ in the soul. We abide in Him, and feel at home with Jesus. The promises flow into the soul. Our peace is like a river, wave after wave of glory rolls into the heart, and indeed we sup with Jesus and He with us. We have a realizing sense of the love of God, and we rest in His love. {Pr 11.3}

No language can describe it, it is beyond knowledge. We are one with Christ, our life is hid with Christ in God. We have the assurance that when He who is our life shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory. With strong confidence, we can call God our Father.—(The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 3:1147, 1148.) {Pr 12.1; Or.13.5}

Prayer Brings Freshness to Spiritual Life

Our life is to be bound up with the life of Christ; we are to draw constantly from Him, partaking of Him, the living Bread that came down from heaven, drawing from a fountain ever fresh, ever giving forth its abundant treasures. If we keep the Lord ever before us, allowing our hearts to go out in thanksgiving and praise to Him, we shall have a continual freshness in our religious life. Our prayers will take the form of a conversation with God as we would talk with a friend. He will speak His mysteries to us personally. Often there will come to us a sweet joyful sense of the presence of Jesus. Often our hearts will burn within us as He draws nigh to commune with us as He did with Enoch. When this is in truth the experience of the Christian, there is seen in his life a simplicity, a humility, meekness, and lowliness of heart, that show to all with whom he associates that he has been with Jesus and learned of Him.—(Christ’s Object Lessons, 129, 130.) {Pr 12.2}

A Place to Flee That Is Always Open

The way to the throne of God is always open. You cannot always be on your knees in prayer, but your silent petitions may constantly ascend to God for strength and guidance. When tempted, as you will be, you may flee to the secret place of the Most High. His everlasting arms will be underneath you.—(In Heavenly Places, 86.) {Pr 12.3}

The Secret of Spiritual Power

Prayer is the breath of the soul. It is the secret of spiritual power. No other means of grace can be substituted and the health of the soul be preserved. Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Wellspring of life, and strengthens the sinew and muscle of the religious experience. Neglect the exercise of prayer, or engage in prayer spasmodically, now and then, as seems convenient, and you lose your hold on God. The spiritual faculties lose their vitality, the religious experience lacks health and vigor…. {Pr 12.4}

It is a wonderful thing that we can pray effectually, that unworthy, erring mortals possess the power of offering their requests to God. What higher power can man desire than this,—to be linked with the infinite God? Feeble, sinful man has the privilege of speaking to his Maker. We may utter words that reach the throne of the Monarch of the universe. We may speak with Jesus as we walk by the way, and He says, I am at thy right hand.—(Messages to Young People, 249, 250.) {Pr 13.1; Or.15.3}

Secret Prayer the Soul of Religion

Do not neglect secret prayer, for it is the soul of religion. With earnest, fervent prayer plead for purity of soul. Plead as earnestly, as eagerly, as you would for your mortal life, were it at stake. Remain before God until unutterable longings are begotten within you for salvation, and the sweet evidence is obtained of pardoned sin.—(Spiritual Gifts 2:264.) {Pr 13.2}

Every Sincere Prayer Is Heard

As yet the disciples were unacquainted with the Saviour’s unlimited resources and power. He said to them, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name.” John 16:24. He explained that the secret of their success would be in asking for strength and grace in His name. He would be present before the Father to make request for them. The prayer of the humble suppliant He presents as His own desire in that soul’s behalf. Every sincere prayer is heard in heaven. It may not be fluently expressed; but if the heart is in it, it will ascend to the sanctuary where Jesus ministers, and He will present it to the Father without one awkward, stammering word, beautiful and fragrant with the incense of His own perfection. {Pr 13.3}

The path of sincerity and integrity is not a path free from obstruction, but in every difficulty we are to see a call to prayer. There is no one living who has any power that he has not received from God, and the source whence it comes is open to the weakest human being. “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name,” said Jesus, “that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.” {Pr 13.4; Or.16.3}

“In My name,” Christ bade His disciples pray. In Christ’s name His followers are to stand before God. Through the value of the sacrifice made for them, they are of value in the Lord’s sight. Because of the imputed righteousness of Christ they are accounted precious. For Christ’s sake the Lord pardons those that fear Him. He does not see in them the vileness of the sinner. He recognizes in them the likeness of His Son, in whom they believe.—(The Desire of Ages, 667.) {Pr 14.1; Or.16.4}

Angels Mark Our Prayers and Influence Us for Good

When you rise in the morning, do you feel your helplessness and your need of strength from God? and do you humbly, heartily make known your wants to your heavenly Father? If so, angels mark your prayers, and if these prayers have not gone forth out of feigned lips, when you are in danger of unconsciously doing wrong and exerting an influence which will lead others to do wrong, your guardian angel will be by your side, prompting you to a better course, choosing your words for you, and influencing your actions. {Pr 14.2}

If you feel in no danger, and if you offer no prayer for help and strength to resist temptations, you will be sure to go astray; your neglect of duty will be marked in the book of God in heaven, and you will be found wanting in the trying day.—(Testimonies for the Church 3:363, 364.) {Pr 14.3; Or.17.2}

Like Moses, We May Enjoy Intimate Communion With God

That hand that made the world, that holds the mountains in their places, takes this man of dust,—this man of mighty faith,—and mercifully covers him in a cleft of the rock, while the glory of God and all His goodness pass before him. Can we marvel that the “excellent glory” reflected from Omnipotence shone in the face of Moses with such brightness that the people could not look upon it? The impress of God was upon him, making him appear as one of the shining angels from the throne. {Pr 14.4}

This experience, above all else the assurance that God would hear his prayer, and that the divine presence would attend him, was of more value to Moses as a leader than the learning of Egypt, or all his attainments in military science. No earthly power or skill or learning can supply the place of God’s immediate presence. In the history of Moses we may see what intimate communion with God it is man’s privilege to enjoy. To the transgressor it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But Moses was not afraid to be alone with the Author of that law which had been spoken with such awful grandeur from Mount Sinai; for his soul was in harmony with the will of his Maker. {Pr 15.1; Or.17.4}

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. The eye of faith will discern God very near, and the suppliant may obtain precious evidence of the divine love and care for him.—(Gospel Workers, 34, 35.) {Pr 15.2; Or.18.1}

Pray With Holy Boldness

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” When you pray, present this promise. It is our privilege to come to Him with holy boldness. As in sincerity we ask Him to let His light shine upon us, He will hear and answer us.—(Child Guidance, 499.) {Pr 15.3}

Heaven is open to our petitions, and we are invited to come “boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” We are to come in faith, believing that we shall obtain the very things we ask of him.— {Pr 15.4; Or.18.3}

Ask for Our Needs

Every promise in the word of God furnishes us with subject matter for prayer, presenting the pledged word of Jehovah as our assurance. Whatever spiritual blessing we need, it is our privilege to claim through Jesus. We may tell the Lord, with the simplicity of a child, exactly what we need. We may state to Him our temporal matters, asking Him for bread and raiment as well as for the bread of life and the robe of Christ’s righteousness. Your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things, and you are invited to ask Him concerning them. It is through the name of Jesus that every favor is received. God will honor that name, and will supply your necessities from the riches of His liberality.—(Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, 133.) {Pr 15.5}

Ask and Believe

As you ask the Lord to help you, honor your Saviour by believing that you do receive His blessing. All power, all wisdom, are at our command. We have only to ask. {Pr 16.1}

Walk continually in the light of God. Meditate day and night upon His character. Then you will see His beauty and rejoice in His goodness. Your heart will glow with a sense of His love. You will be uplifted as if borne by everlasting arms. With the power and light that God imparts, you can comprehend more and accomplish more than you ever before deemed possible.—(The Ministry of Healing, 514.) {Pr 16.2; Or.19.2}

Go Forward, Trusting God

We are to encourage in one another that living faith which Christ has made it possible for every believer to have. The work is to be carried forward as the Lord prepares the way. When He brings His people into strait places, then it is their privilege to assemble together for prayer, remembering that all things come of God. Those who have not yet shared in the trying experiences that attend the work in these last days will soon have to pass through scenes that will severely test their confidence in God. It is at the time His people see no way to advance, when the Red Sea is before them and the pursuing army behind, that God bids them: “Go forward.” Thus He is working to test their faith. When such experiences come to you, go forward, trusting in Christ. Walk step by step in the path He marks out. Trials will come, but go forward. This will give you an experience that will strengthen your faith in God and fit you for truest service.—(Testimonies for the Church 9:273.) {Pr 16.3}

Testimony: 12-29-2018

December 29, 2018. We are at the borders of Canaan and my eyes cannot stop crying at the condition of the people who claim to be part of the faithful remnant of God. My heart suffers and only in God can I receive consolation, there is no delight for me anymore on this earth because I have been able to see a better earth, that is, the heavenly one. It was let me known that I am not called to convince anyone of their mistakes, but if they themselves do not humble and ask for heavenly wisdom they will never have it. I was let known that all arrogance, verbal abuse, and bad disposition will disable us from the true wisdom; Micah 6: 8 was the norm of faith for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and also for Daniel and John the beloved disciple. {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p1}

It is not up to anyone to save anyone’s life because there is only one mediator and savior among you, Jesus Christ. But our only task is to exhort in the good doing, to pray for one another, and to live lives that represent the Heavenly Embassy well. Do not enter into disputes in who is right, but then go to God in petition and supplication and He will let you know. Stop showing off your human wisdom because for God one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. Be rather jealous for your salvation with fear and trembling and bear fruit worthy of repentance. So be jealous, because your adversary the devil goes like a lion to destroy not only the body, but what is even more important, the soul; we are on the eve of a great test, and no one will be able to pass it with the help of anyone. How then can you be ecstatic in something else, that is not this for your benefit? Many blind and deaf, almost feel the final test, but their mind given to the reprobation acclaim: “my Lord is slow to come. Fools! you speak of me but you live out of me. Don’t you know that he who is not grafted onto me will never bear true fruit?” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p2}

“Hear that it was said by the prophets: ‘a voice crying out in the desert, straighten the roads and bear fruits worthy of repentance and you will find rest for your souls.’ But I tell you that he who is already in me, he bears much fruit and my love is in him. For this you will recognize him; his life is deemed worthless and his only reason for being is to serve in my name. But this perverse generation of lips honors me, because their opinions and greatness have their cup full. What then shall I do? I will go to the vineyard and order them to be brought out before reaching my barn, and I will set fire on them so that they will never again pollute my vineyard. I will do this to vindicate the voice of my servants, these were violated for generations by those who claimed to come in my name, but I never sent them, and thus they will be vindicated.” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p3}

“Prepare then, my real flock!, for the dwellings are already ready, and the table of sweet delicacies is served. The number is almost complete and everything is ready. Ask for the streets: ‘Who knows how to get to heaven?’ Then think: ‘have I found anyone?’ As I live that you will not find anyone, for all those who have been transferred in life have never walked among you, nor will they walk until the restoration of everything. But if this is already revealed, how then do you follow men because of their renown? Perhaps in my word, lamp, is it not a lamp to your feet and a light for my path? Foolish! lacking in understanding, who live declaring your achievements and fantasies in vain speculations! Don’t the signs speak for themselves? Do you not see having eyes and hear having ears?” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p4}

“The spurious day is come, and everyone who conceals this fact is on the side of my adversary. Am I not the one who governs the universe and everything that exists in it? Won’t I know what is to come? Foolish! lovers of your ideas more than of God! How then can you have discernment if you only seek your own pleasure? But my people look for me in solitude, in the peaceful whistle, in the great heights, there my power and wisdom is deposited in them and prepares them for the great final event where the light surrounds the earth with my truth. But the foolish despise this encounter, and busy in their plans, despising a ‘thus says Jehovah,’ they do not take this time of great value for them to encounter with me for the final preparation, and then what will they say: ‘Lord, in your name we cast out demons, and in your name we did this and that?’ But I will say: ‘depart from me evildoers.'” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p5}

“How many will perish for not following instructions?” And He answered: “many.” How many will live to follow them? And He Himself answered: “few, but will be enough for the final task. The time is almost fulfilled for my people, but they deceive their hearts with false hopes of a longer future, full of vain pleasures. These claim to be Jews and they are not, but they are jingling cymbals. Humble yourselves!, humble your hearts and submit in soul and spirit to the search for the real truth, and to the forgiveness of your sins.” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p6}

“What else will I do with this vineyard? I tilled it, sowed it, cared for it, pruned it and it did not bear fruit. What then did the one who sent me say? Go and plant another vineyard outside my field. So I went out of my vineyard and planted, and I saw that my care was giving results and I began to reap fruit. But the one who sent me said: ‘do not turn back to the old vineyard, but continue in this and gather the best seed, and plow more field and sow with the good seed.’ Then I said: Lord, but didn’t the first vineyard also have good seed? It is so, He answered, but the stones, thorns and birds attacked it because their land was conducive to this, but this is virgin land with much vigor and abundant water, and although the stones and thorns and birds attack, they will not be able to sterilize it at all because I have put my vigor into it. Lord, I answered, didn’t you put your vigor in the first one? And He answered: yes, but it stopped flowing the water that gave it life, and became sterile. Now then, what will I do? Will I be afflicted by their sterility? And He Himself answered: no, by no means, I will go to another field and sow the good seed in it. He who has ears to hear, let him hear, for the understood will understand. There is no prophet in their own land, nor blacksmith in their own blacksmithing. That is why we say: he is neither a prophet nor a blacksmith?” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p7}

“My administrative angels take note of every act and word, my eyelids examine the sons of men. Who will hide from me and can prevail by his own justice? Quick of speech and slow to hear, these are like chaff blown away by the wind. Don’t you know that you will be judged and this is already? Why do you live in such indifference, hating each other? Who taught you to hate your neighbor? When did I tell you this? Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute and insult you, but this yes it is said ‘hate sin, but love the sinner,’ separate yourselves and do not touch the unclean, but your transgression and iniquity have separated you from the good doing, and to the bad they call good and good bad. Crooked and perverse generation that hate the truth and love lies! your kings and princes deceive you! and twist my words into human vanities! Seek me while I can be found and as long as I am near. Soon very soon the Holy Spirit will no longer be among you, and only those who accepted the early rain will receive the latter rain, because you will not be able to receive the latter without the first. What will you do when you see that it is not granted to you? The mighty will shout there and there will be no one to comfort him.” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p8}

“I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice, I will enter in him, I will dine with him and he with me. If you listen to my voice today, do not harden your heart, only then can you be saved.” {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p9}

After this was dictated to me, I was told: “Mark 4.” Faithfully I passed it on to you, and prayed for each one of you, and I await your prayers for me as well. May the Lord bless you all. {Daisy Escalante: 12-29-2018 , en.p10}

Micah 6:8

8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Mark 4

1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Testimony: 04-18-2020 #02

Beloved, April 18, 2020, at 12:39 in the afternoon, while I was studying the word of the Lord, the word of the Lord came to me saying: “I Am who I am, and there is no variation in Me. The same thing I did in Egypt to liberate My people, I will do even greater in the final and total liberation of My people; there will be no man that will impose himself, nor evil chains that will not succumb before My glory; therefore I advise you not to turn either to the right or to the left, and follow My footsteps; because heaven will roar and the earth will shake like a drunkard, the sea will be removed, the rivers will change their course and the bushes will shout; but My true children will live confidently under My wings.” {Daisy Escalante: 04-18-2020 #02, en.p1}

“Separate yourselves from anyone who does not wish to call on My Name, because I will bring pain and affliction of spirit upon them, because they knew and hated My sayings, violated My Covenant, twisted My Law and did not listen to My Statutes that I perpetuated throughout your generations; therefore I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy; of the perverse and the wicked I will take charge, and I will free My sheepfold from their suffering. But this will not find someone to free him because I will hide My face from him because he rejected Me, I also reject him.” {Daisy Escalante: 04-18-2020 #02, en.p2}

Faithful and true words of the Lord for each one of you. May the Lord bless us. {Daisy Escalante: 04-18-2020 #02, en.p3}

Testimony: 08-05-2021

August 5, 2021. At dawn, THE ETERNAL woke me up and told me: “pay attention.” At that moment, when I woke up, I heard the reading of Faith and Works. I have a small telephone, very old, [which] I always put on to listen to the Spirit of Prophecy or the Bible —at night— while we sleep. {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p1}

There was this telephone, playing in the Faith and Works book, it was talking in chapter 19. I quickly looked it up and saw that the title was: “Opinions and Practices Must Adjust to God’s Word.” I meditated on this. I prayed. After a while, I went back to lay down. {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p2}

So then, I had a dream. I saw myself in a house, this was normal, like any large house. I saw that the owner of the house was very meticulous, she took great care in the cleanliness of said house, she collected the garbage from each room. And, soon, I saw that she finished and went down to a basement. There I saw her go with the garbage. In the basement, there were hundreds and hundreds of bags of garbage. And I realized that many animals slipped among them. I was asking myself how a woman so meticulous in cleaning was doing this. Why not take the garbage out of the house [instead of] putting it in the basement of her house? {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p3}

I saw that the woman came out of the basement and went to rest. Some time after her rest, a loud noise was heard and, immediately afterwards, I saw that all the little animals were slipping through the garbage bags. And they charged at her. And they devoured her! And I didn’t see her anymore. {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p4}

At that moment, I woke up. And I was told: “many believe that sin when it is insignificant is defenseless. The speculations, the airs of greatness, the feelings of always knowing the right thing, a sense of authority over others, the belief that they have 99% of the truth, but with a mixture of lies, this and others, will be the cause of many who rest in this confidently, because of the habit they have for so long, will be their ruin.” {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p5}

Oh, beloved brothers! I leave these faithful and true words that I have received from the LORD at this hour for each one of you. May the LORD bless us.

Chapter 19—Opinions and Practices to Be Conformed to God’s Word

Selected from The Review and Herald, March 25, 1902.

There are many who claim that they have been sanctified to God, and yet when the great standard of righteousness is presented to them they become greatly excited and manifest a spirit which proves that they know nothing of what it means to be sanctified. They have not the mind of Christ; for those who are truly sanctified will reverence and obey the Word of God as fast as it is opened to them, and they will express a strong desire to know what is truth on every point of doctrine. An exultant feeling is no evidence of sanctification. The assertion, “I am saved, I am saved,” does not prove that the soul is saved or sanctified. {FW 121.1; FO.123.1} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p6}

Many who are greatly excited are told that they are sanctified, when they have no intelligent idea of what the term means, for they know not the Scriptures or the power of God. They flatter themselves that they are in conformity to the will of God because they feel happy; but when they are tested, when the Word of God is brought to bear upon their experience, they stop their ears from hearing the truth, saying, “I am sanctified,” and that puts an end to the controversy. They will have nothing to do with searching the Scriptures to know what is truth, and prove that they are fearfully self-deceived. Sanctification means very much more than a flight of feeling. {FW 121.2; FO.123.2} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p7}

Excitement is not sanctification. Entire conformity to the will of our Father which is in heaven is alone sanctification, and the will of God is expressed in His holy law. The keeping of all the commandments of God is sanctification. Proving yourselves obedient children to God’s Word is sanctification. The Word of God is to be our guide, not the opinions or ideas of men. Let those who would be truly sanctified search the Word of God with patience, with prayer, and with humble contrition of soul. Let them remember that Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth” ( John 17:17). {FW 121.3; FO.124.1} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p8}

Living by Every Word of God

Christianity is simply living by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. We are to believe in, and live in, Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. We have faith in God when we believe His Word; we trust and obey God when we keep His commandments; and we love God when we love His law. {FW 122.1; FO.124.2} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p9}

Believing a lie will not put any one of us in the way of being sanctified. Should all the ministers in the world tell us that we were safe in disobeying a single precept of the holy standard of righteousness, it would not lessen our obligations nor make our guilt less, if we reject a plain “Thou shalt” or “Thou shalt not.” We need not think that because our fathers did a certain way and died happy, we may follow in their footsteps and be accepted in rendering the same service and doing the same works that they did. {FW 122.2; FO.124.3} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p10}

We have more light than they had in their day; and if we would be accepted of God, we must be as faithful in obeying the light and walking in it as they were in receiving and obeying the light that God sent to them. We must accept and improve the light that shines upon our pathway as faithfully as they accepted and improved the light that fell upon their pathway in their generation. We shall be judged according to the light that shines into the soul-temple in our day; and if we follow the light, we shall be free men and women in Christ Jesus. {FW 122.3; FO.124.4} {Daisy Escalante: 08-05-2021 , en.p11}
