Sabbath Delight

1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Chapter 49 “Danger of Excessive Emotion”

Impression by God’s Word, Not Feeling—It is through the Word—not feeling, not excitement—that we want to influence the people to obey the truth. On the platform of God’s Word we can stand with safety. The living Word is replete with evidence, and a wonderful power accompanies its proclamation in our world.—Selected Messages 3:375. {VSS 290.1; VEUC.318.1}

Emotional Preaching—If the preaching is of an emotional character, it will affect the feelings, but not the heart and conscience. Such preaching results in no lasting good, but it often wins the hearts of the people and calls out their affections for the man who pleases them. They forget that God has said: “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils.”—Testimonies for the Church 5:301. {VSS 290.2; VEUC.318.2}

Trust in God, Not Man—I am pained beyond measure to see the little discernment existing among our people who have had so great light. They listen to a sermon that stirs their emotions, and the language of their hearts is, “Evermore give us the ministry of this man; he moves our hearts, he makes us feel.” They forget God, and praise and exalt the man, to his injury and the injury of their own souls . When will those who claim to believe the truth cease from man whose breath is in his nostrils? When will they trust in God, make Him just what He is—all and in all?—Lt 8, 1889. {VSS 290.3; VEUC.319.1}

Temporary Nature of Impulsive Decisions—There are in the ministry men who gain apparent success by swaying minds through human influence. They play upon the feelings at will, making their hearers weep, and in a few minutes laugh. Under labor of this kind, many are moved by impulse to profess Christ, and there is thought to be a wonderful revival; but when the test comes, the work does not endure. Feelings are stirred, and many are borne along by the tide that seems to be setting heavenward; but in the strong current of temptation they quickly float back as driftwood. The laborer is self-deceived, and he misleads his hearers.—Gospel Workers, 382. {VSS 291.1; VEUC.319.2}

Real Intelligence in Preaching—A man may preach in a spirited manner and please the ear, but convey no new idea or real intelligence to the mind. The impressions received through such preaching last no longer than while the speaker’s voice is heard. When search is made for the fruit of such labor, there is little to be found.—Testimonies for the Church 1:447. {VSS 291.2; VEUC.319.3}

Unnatural Use of the Voice—Some raise their voices to an unnatural key when they speak in the desk; others talk very rapidly, and the people cannot hear what is said. This works disaster to themselves, as well as to others, for their unnatural use of the voice results in injury to the vocal organs. They needlessly exhaust their strength, and make their efforts painful to their congregation. They should exercise self-control, that quality so essential for them as ambassadors of Christ, and overcome their pernicious habits. If they would but do this, they would be able to leave a pleasant impression on the minds of their hearers, and the preaching of the truth would become attractive.—The Review and Herald, October 28, 1890. {VSS 291.3; VEUC.320.1}

Intensity Without Emotionalism—God would have all move calmly, considerately, choosing our words in harmony with the solid truth for this time, which requires to be presented to the mind as free from that which is emotional as possible, while still bearing the intensity and solemnity that it is proper it should bear. We must guard against creating extremes, guard against encouraging those who would either be in the fire or in the water. {VSS 292.1; VEUC.320.2}

I beseech you to weed out of your teachings every extravagant expression, everything that unbalanced minds and those who are inexperienced will catch up, and from which they will make wild, immature movements. It is necessary for you to cultivate caution in every statement you make, lest you start some on a wrong track, and make confusion that will require much sorrowful labor to set in order, thus diverting the strength and work of the laborers into lines which God does not design shall be entered. One fanatical streak exhibited among us will close many doors against the soundest principles of truth.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 227, 228. {VSS 292.2; VEUC.321.1}

Beloved, October 8, 2018. I kept asking the Lord: “Lord, what else? What else do you want to tell your people in this congress?” And the Lord gave me another title. I cannot say that it is more interesting than the previous ones, but it is of much equal importance because everything that comes from the Lord is extremely important and the title was: “Who rules your life in front of the line of fire?” And He told me: “If you eat or drink or do other things, do it for the glory and honor of God”. The Lord says: “To the law and to the testimony, if they do not say according to this, it is because it has not dawned on them. Because, such is a liar and there is no truth in him. So be jealous and repent”. He continued telling me that there are only two powers, one less than the other. “All of us, very soon, we will be permanently possessed either by God or by the enemy, and there is no middle ground”, He continued saying, “how then are you calm and to think that you rule your life when you are in front of a decision of life or death? Don’t you understand the times? Look at the earth, trembling like a drunk, and the sea, unhinged, and the giants, awakening. Smoke, fire and brimstone, fluttering. Didn’t I tell you about these things? And how do you say: ‘my Lord is slow to come’? O bad, indolent servant! Will your efforts save you without following God’s perfect plan? Can you overcome with your own reasoning? See my strategy, seek for it and live it in joy and gratitude, for I tell you that, in the earthly battle, some, even if they prepare, will perish. But in my battle, my army: whoever follows all my war strategies, hearing My voice and putting it into action, none will fall to death and will be more than a winner. Study, search, learn, do and you will live. Can a soldier in his training, hesitate and not be focused in him? Truly I say to you that, if so, he will certainly die. Beloved, the Lord here spoke to me about many things, He spoke to me about the stages that we must go through, and living in the field, all the things that we must be doing so that He can work a transformation in us, so that the preparation of the character, which is the most important thing because it is what we are really going to take to heaven – be ready. He also spoke to me that we must be ready for the time of not buying and selling so that we are soon ready for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so that we can have the necessary endowment to give the Loud Cry. And therefore, dear brothers, plagues will come and with this [will] unleash the persecution for the true children of God. But sure the harvest will be ready, complete, and by then, He will be our protector. His mighty angels will fight for us. While I was in all these things, ecstatic, while God was telling me all this, He gave me another title for this congress: “Can I be saved from the line of fire?” Then He said to me: “Can those who can die bear this great evil? Did Achan not know what he should do? Did Eli measure his destiny? I wish you could see and understand which is your place for obtaining the salvation! Can any mortal survive the final fight without special help? No, not at all”, He replied. “Then why do you cast me off following the desires of your deceitful heart? Will your studies save you? Will your money be of help? Could it be that your goods will be guarantee of life? Will the wood say to the fire: don’t burn me? Only on strict observance of my orders will you be able to be saved. My yoke is slight and lightweght, my burden also, but you go under your own reasoning and this will be of perdition to you. How can you dare to delay your reasoning and think that you will come out unscathed? Lovers of yourselves more than of God, who are not afraid to make your own paths that lead to perdition and are afraid to walk the path that leads to eternal life! Will you let your son walk among serpents and will not warn him? But I tell you that not only will your reasoning make you walk among serpents, but they will kill you because the hand of the Lord is extended and you did not want it and you did not desire His salvation”. He asked a question: “Could it be that your wishes, which are like tow, will be more than my wishes for eternal glory for you?” And He replied: “advance in my ways and you will live and find rest for your souls. How will you dare to save your children if you yourselves do not want the requirements of salvation? “, He asked. “I left all for you, but you give me what is left over. Am I not your Creator and Sustainer? You say yes, but you do not trust Me, you only trust what your hands do. Beloved, December 14, 2018. In dreams, I saw how I was going down a street with a young man, a male adult, and a girl holding hand; On that road we started by car, then the road was so narrow that we had to continue on foot. We were told to advance along the dangerous path, and while we were hurrying I saw a three-story building, and on its balconies and doors people show themselves that others admired because they had died and now they were there moving and talking to the crowd that stood there in amazement to watch; I tried to put on alert to that crowd, but they were as hypnotized to see in life beings that had already died. It was a moment of subtle emotion, to see again their beings already dead, supposedly alive, and it made their hearts leap with emotion. {Daisy Escalante: 12-14-2018 , en.p1}

At that moment, I ran towards them without stopping to analyze the consequences, and they with subtle deception spoke words of union and peace through the common good. I tried to exhort them, because those wonders that they were listening, had them as hypnotized, it was a great deception! there was nothing that made them give up listening and accepting what these demons clothed in their relatives said! So I said: “oh Lord! What spell is this?” And I was told: “these always believed flattering and subtle words. Their life was emotionalism and not rationalism. They didn’t stop and think cause and effect, and today they are prey of this subtle deception. Their feet always firm in the sand because the rock for them was very painful, convenience was put in the place of consistency, and they accustomed to call the bad good and the good bad, that is why spiritualism entered their lives and they extended their hand.” {Daisy Escalante: 12-14-2018 , en.p2}

At that moment, beloved, there I woke up, I woke up with such a great pain in my heart! such a deep pain in my being because, beloved, these are things that for a long time we were already allowed to know that were going to happen, however, when they happen we do not stop to think about cause and effect, but we fall into these things. May God grant that none of us, none of us who pay attention to the word of God fall into this, we know that the man of sin is working hard right now, we know that the enemy is instigating behind all this, we know that already we have everything ready to give way to all these things that the Lord is showing. Beloved, let us be attentive! do not fall for this! God grant that each one of us can be freed from these evil spells, and that we only follow the lamb wherever He goes! Beloved, July 12, 2019. In dreams my companion said: “observe.” I observed and saw two snakes emerging from a large nest of serpents, commissioned on an important and vile mission. I kept observing and I saw a gentleman, this one with a great desire to learn in order to complete his work, this with effort. I saw him in a classroom, while he was studying I saw a serpent enter and hang around his neck, this became a woman in my sight, but the man apparently saw her and did not notice her mutation. So I said: “oh Lord!, I should tell him?” Then I was told: “speak.” I spoke and gave the alert but I was not listened. {Daisy Escalante: 07-12-2019 #01, en.p1}

The scene changed at that time and I saw the man busy with his work, and while I was observing him I saw another snake arrive, this one was bigger than the previous one, and a face more terrible than the previous one and it became a woman, and went where the man that was working, and her seduction was even greater than the previous one, this one spoke and her breath lulled the man, and he, he wrapped himself in her love affairs and committed adultery with her and thus remained under her spell. {Daisy Escalante: 07-12-2019 #01, en.p2}

My despair was such, seeing this, that I struggled to wake him up from such a sleep and tried to make him understand that that woman was a simple serpent. At that moment he was static and attentive, for a moment I thought he would reason, but he denied reason and was trapped in the infernal spell. I wept bitterly when I saw him like this and my tears did not notice his behavior, so I was ordered to move away and leave him in his bad behavior. Beloved there I woke up. With a great pain in my heart, because these infernal spells, if we caress them, they will become our perdition. May God grant that each one of us be freed from this infernal spell, because we cling to Jesus Christ, we humble ourselves to Him and we do not listen to seduction and doctrines of demons. May 21, 2020, In a dream I was helping several people. These people had decisions to make, and talents that they could use, but they didn’t. I exhorted them to take action to be ready for the coming crisis; but their sedentary relaxed life was the order of their day. {Daisy Escalante: 05-21-2020 , en.p1}

Soon I saw a very strong wind that hit us all. Personally, I had to use all my strength, and even so I felt that my hands were detaching from where they were holding; I cried out: “Lord, help me I perish!” Soon I saw a very bright light before me, and I felt that on top of my hands, other hands settled down and made me hold more tightly, and although my feet flew in the air like a leaf carried by the wind, my hands remained anchored where they were. {Daisy Escalante: 05-21-2020 , en.p2}

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

May 23, 2020. In dreams I was taken to various places. People from different countries, from islands, opened the way for this. There many began to hear the word of truth, and accepted the whole message in faith and action. Others opposed, but could not stop the movement, and so with the power of God we advanced. While I was being carried from one place to another, one of those who had been with us from the beginning changed sides, and tried to harm me; but a sudden illness fell upon him and he was taken out of the place and I did not see him again. Thus we were able to continue the work entrusted by God. I went to very, very remote places, and even there many hungry for the truth received us with great love and joy; These were very poor materially, but they were rich in love, in peace and now with the message of hope; They were so happy to hear the word of truth, that they took us with others, and that’s how the journey went day after day. {Daisy Escalante: 05-23-2020 #01, en.p1}

My companion said: the truth will not stop, because it is God’s will that it be so; do not fear, raise your voice and do not stop, because this is for the salvation of many.” At that moment there I woke up.
